Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh on the set of 'Gunday'

Bollywood celebrities are well known for their religious attachments and are time to time in news for their visits to holy places. However, seeing youngsters Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in a holy company was a nice surprise.
The film director, Abbas Ali Zafar along with his actors and crew is in Kolkata now. They are shooting for the upcoming film 'Gunday'. The team is having a good time at Kolkata in between the shooting schedules. Recently Ali Zafar tweeted the picture of the duo Ranveer and Arjun posing with a person dressed as lord Shiva. Abbas’s Twitter read, “Holy side of gangsters@gunday . Kolkata pic.twitter.com/lhPyuTG5Lc”.
The film ‘Gunday’ has the backdrop of the Kolkata metropolitan. After the success of ‘Kahaani’ this is another Bollywood film to be entirely shot in the cultural capital of the country, Kolkata. The plot tells the story of two friends and common thieves Bikram (played by Ranveer Singh) and Bala (played by Arjun Kapoor). The plot narrates the story about how they got involved in the coal smuggling racket and themselves become two dreaded mafias.
Our very own piggy chops Priyanka Chopra is the leading lady of the film while Irfan plays a strong supporting role. Ranveer and Arjun both are talented newcomers in the Bollywood film industry whose performance is appreciated by the critics and the movie buffs alike. Both of them debuted under the YRF banner. "Band Baaja Baaraat" was the first film of Ranveer Singh and "Ishaqzaade" was the launching movie for Arjun Kapoor.
This is the first time that the duo is coming together to act in a film and no one is expecting anything less than excellence. Both the youngsters have proved that they can deliver and this time this will be an acid test of their credibility and talent.
This is Abbas Ali Zafar’s second film. The first film that he directed was ‘Mere brother ki dulhan’. It was one of the box office hits in the year 2011. It was also produced by Yash Raj Films. Seems like YRF have put all their young talents together in their next cinematic venture, ‘Gunday’. The film is slated to be released sometime late in 2013. We sure hope that film adds new perspective to the story telling of the underground mafias and dons.
We wish the cast and the crew all the success.
