‘I, Me Aur Main’ and ‘The Attacks of 26/11’ fall flat at the BO

Both the Friday releases ‘I, Me Aur Main’ and ‘The Attacks of 26/11’ did not fared well at the box-office. Both the films had a lukewarm response and not able to cash in at the box-office. While debutant director Kapil Sharma’s ‘I, Me Aur Main’, showed a bit good result than compared to Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘The Attacks of 26/11’.
According to trade analysts, ‘The Attacks of 26/11’ has been able to collect around Rs. 5.25 crores in the opening weekend and performed well in the southern part compared to the northern part. The film was slightly better in Maharashtra. On the other hand, ‘I, Me Aur Main’ starring John Abraham, Chitrangada Singh and Prachi Desai has been able to garner an amount of 5.4 crores approximately in its first weekend.
‘The Attacks of 26/11’ is Ram Gopal Varma’s tribute to the innocents who lost their live in the Mumbai attacks in 2008. Whereas, ‘I Me Aur Main’ is contrasting to ‘The Attacks of 26/11’. It is about a self centered guy who always took his family and girlfriend for granted until a new girl comes to his life and changed his perception of life.
Meanwhile, the last week release Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kai Po Che’ has done a good business at the box-office. Good words of mouth and strong script worked in favor of the movie.
