‘Slumdog Milionaire’ actress Freida Pinto has bagged her first Bollywood project. She will be sharing screen space with Raj Kumar Yadav. Raj Kumar Yadav was recently seen in last week release ‘Kai Po Che’. He was highly applauded for his performance. The film will be made by Navdeep Singh and Vikramaditya Motwane.
Like Freida, Raj Kumar Yadav also forayed into acting with off-beat film. She debuted with ‘Love, Sex Aur Dhoka’ (2010), directed by Dibakar Banerjee. After that he was seen in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Ragini MMS’ in 2011 and Anurag Kashyap, ‘Gang of Wasseypur’.
As a source tells a tabloid, “Now all eyes are on Freida as this film with Navdeep Singh and Vikramaditya Motwane will be her first Hindi project. Rajkumar has made a mark for himself with ‘Kai Po Che’. In fact, the makers were waiting for its release before they could announce theirs.”
It is learnt that Freida Pinto has personally asked Vikramaditya Motwane to be present during the film shoot as Navdeep has failed to complete his last film with Abhay Deol and Genelia D’Souza. Freida signed a clause that if anything goes wrong in between Vikramaditya Motwane would step in and complete the movie.
The source has added further, “Since Navdeep wasn’t able to complete his last film with Abhay Deol and Genelia D’souza, he wanted a clause in the contract. If anything goes haywire, then Vikram will have to come on board as the director and complete the film.”
