Ranbir has competition from 'SOTY' Trio

Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have been roped in by cola brand to be pitted against Kapoor's drink at IPL

It's the battle between the young brigade. At an upcoming cricket tournament, Siddharth Malhotra has ganged up with his co-stars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt to be pitted against Ranbir Kapoor.

A cola company has roped in the Student of the Year actors to endorse their product. They will be competing for eyeballs against another cola company that has Ranbir Kapoor as its face.


A source says, `The cola brand was earlier endorsed by Aamir Khan. Once his contract ended, the brand signed the SOTY actors.` Apparently the youth appeal of the three newbies was the reason why they were roped in. The source adds, `The company is going to spend around R 150 crore on the entire marketing campaign over the next three months.`

A trade analyst on the condition of anonymity tells us, `They have a tough competition ahead as they are pitted opposite Ranbir. The fight is the lead up to the cricket tournie, as Ranbir's brand is the title sponsor.` Say cheers to that!
