Sanjay Dutt will be paid daily wage of Rs 25 only

’s revive petition at the apex court gets rejected then he had to face a tough life in jail for three and a half years. He will have to take any of the following work during his stay in jail-carpentry, cooking in the jail kitchen, carpet making, bakery, blacksmith's work, weaving or making shoes and chappals in the leather workshop. In the initial six months of his stay, he will be treated as unskilled worker and would pay a daily wage of Rs 25 only. When he will be expertise in any of the profession then his daily wages will go up to Rs 35 per day. Like any other prisoners, he will don pajamas, cap and shirt and will be known as a token number. Senior jail officials at Yerwada revealed that during his last stay in the jail, Dutt made a wooden chair; he was quite fond of carpentry.
Sanjay Dutt will be entitled to an allowance of Rs. 1,500 per month from his family to purchase essential toiletries from jail canteen. Sanjay Dutt can meet maximum five members of his family only once in a month for 20 minutes. His Sunday activities will include drudgework like washing his own clothes and extra chores that jail officials give him.
Sanjay’s day in jail will start from 8am. After the morning prayer at 7am, he will get into work. Meal will be served between 11.30 am and 12 noon. He will continue to work till 4 pm.
If Dutts bail plea is rejected then he will be taken to Arthur Road jail and will be later shifted to one of the six central prisons for convicts in Maharashtra. A senior jail official said, "Dutt will have to surrender before the TADA court in Mumbai on completion of four weeks, as per the apex court's order. He can then file a review petition. If the apex court does not grant him bail during the hearing of the review petition, then Dutt will be taken to Arthur Road jail and later shifted to one of the six central prisons for convicts in Maharashtra."
