Deepika Padukone is certainly interested in doing a film
with Salman together. While expressing her views on handsome Salman, the
dimpled silver screen diva stated that “Like me, Salman is extremely romantic.
I think we can pull off a hardcore romantic film.”
Deepika Padukone started her acting career with the king of romance, Shah Rukh Khan in the movie ‘Om Shanti Om’. The box office success of the film ensured that she got a strong foot hold in the tinsel town of Bollywood and then she went on to act with popular names of the Hindi filmdom. She paired up with Bollywood super stars such as Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.
She have delivered block blaster hits which include 'Bachna Ar Haseeno', 'Housefull', 'Desi Boyz', 'Cocktail', Race 2'. Whereas, our very own acting hunk Salman Khan is churning one after another hit and is now the uncrowned numero uno of Bollywood box-office throne. Most of his films have made it to the coveted Rs. 100 crore club as well.
However, Salman is never known for his romantic onscreen image. It is Shah Rukh Khan who is commonly accepted as the king of romance on the big screen. Girls go ga ga over the lover boy characters that he played in ‘DDLJ’, ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hain’, ‘Mohabattein’ etc. Shah Rukh and Salman has a very cold and old rivalry between them. It will be interesting to watch Salman bringing the competition to the King Khan’s own turf.
Salman Khan has portrayed the role of macho muscle man in all his recently hit movies. It will be great to catch him in a romantic mood, albeit on the big screen. We cannot forget that Salman has given the Bollywood industry few of its biggest hits in a romantic role. Who can forget his characters in romantic movies such as ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ and ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ etc. Therefore, Salman in a romantic role can be a surprise package that may get the box office merrily jingling and what more can one want than to watch the hunk romancing the young dusky beauty Deepika.
