It seems Bollywood is full of good news this year. The buzz doing rounds in the tinsel town is that the two good looking heroes Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan are to appear in a movie together. Though the name of the film is not yet disclosed, it is heard that it is the next project of Farhan Akhtar. Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are to jointly produce this movie under their own film production banner Excel Entertainment.
According to a close source associated with the project, "Excel will soon make an official announcement about the film that will go on floors sometime next year. Ranbir and Hrithik are very good friends who've never had the chance to work together before. Finally, it's happening."
However, Hrithik is not going to have a full fledged role in the upcoming film. The Greek god will be seen in a guest appearance only. The chocolate hero Ranbir Kapoor will have the major role to play in the flick. Though the Roshans and the Kapoor clan are close friends and has strong personal ties, Ranbir and Hrithik never got a chance to act together. The critics and fans will be curious to see how their personal chemistry translates on the big screen.
The excitement around the project is palpable and as such, the thirst for more details is but normal. Journalists from leading dailies tried to gather news about this yet to be named film. They even contacted the producer of this flick, Ritesh Sidhwani. Ritesh although did not disclose much about the project and curtly avoided farther questions by simply stating, "Nothing has been finalized.”
The film has other surprises in store as well. This is the first time ever that Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor will be seen playing the roles of siblings on the silver screen. Kareena and Ranbir are the brightest kids of the glorious Kapoor clan and it was a long wait to see them working together in a film. The unnamed film has almost performed a scoop with this casting.
The film has already garnered lot of attention and the fans can hardly wait to catch it in the theatres. But, according to the available news the shooting of the film is only scheduled to commence in the next year. Therefore, we can assume that the film will only release in the last quarter of the next year, at the earliest.
