Kareena Kapoor to romance Ajay Devgn again

Kareena Kapoor has teamed up in the past for a few hit films. The buzz is that, a new film has been signed with these two leading stars, though the script is being kept tightly under wraps for the time being.

Ajay and Kareena had worked previously in two very different films. One was golmaal 3 which was unbridled fun with no chance of turning anything serious. The other was omkara that was a dark depiction of politics and thrills. Recently, another of their films is pending release. This is Satyagraha: democracy under fire where, in addition to Ajay and Kareena, Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai and Amrita Rao are also starring. The film is directed by Prakash Jha. It is a political thriller and there is quite an amount of anticipation building up around this film. This has been heightened by the nes that apparently Bebo has agreed to do intimate scenes with Ajay in the film. She had declared her intention of crying off from such scenes after marriage, but it now seems that she is willing to do these scenes to preserve the spirit of the script. The film will be released later this year.
As they participate in the publicity for their film Satyagraha, Ajay and Kareena are in the process of being signed up for another yet to be named film by designer Shabinaa Khan. She is a designer turned producer and has been eager to work with Ajay Devgan. She is also a close friend of Kareena. Hence it is no wonder that she would want them together in her new film. Shabinaa tried her hand at producing a film when she coproduced Rowdy Rathore with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She is also coproducing Gabber with Akshaye Kumar.
According to a source, “Shabinaa is in the process of signing Ajay Devgn. Details of the film are being tightly kept under wraps but the script has been locked in and a director is being penciled in. The project will go on the floors early 2014.”
“As Shabinaa is a close friend of Kareena, she is keen to have her on board and she has given her nod to the project,” the source added. “Shabinaa shares a great equation with Ajay Devgn too. This project might also be co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Although she is also designing for several stars, Shabinaa now wants to focus on making films.”
