Katrina Kaif’s new project with Hrithik Roshan seems in
a situation of head-on collision with her film with Aamir Khan. Both
Yashraj Film’s Dhoom 3 and Fox-Star Studios’ Bang Bang are action-capers
with loads of sizzling romance between the lead pair thrown in.
In both Katrina dons the role of a modern day Fearless Nadia. In
other words, she plays the action ‘hero’ with various intricate action
sequences being devised to accentuate her stunt-centric skills. At the
same time in both the action-caper-romances she sizzles on the dance
floor with her superstar male lead.
The problem is how to keep the two Katrina caper-action-romance
extravaganzas apart from one another? The brains behind the two projects
have hit upon a great idea.
We’ll see a sun-soaked tanned toasted Katrina Kaif in Bang Bang.
Says a source close to the project, “The first thing Katrina did to
ensure that the two films don’t clash in looks was to change her own
look. In Bang Bang Katrina is all dusky and tanned, looking shades less
fair than usual.”
Apparently Katrina has been spending hours on the Thai beaches getting her ‘Bang Bang’ tan in place.
“It’s vital to get Bang Bang to look different from Dhoom 3. They
both occupy the same action-caper space. While Hrithik and Aamir’s
action sequences would be radically different from one another Katrina
has decided to change everything from skin-tone to accent to clothes and
hairstyle in Bang Bang. She wants the audience to feel the difference
when they move from Dhoom 3 to Bang Bang,” says a source close to the
project.
