Katrina Kaif today is the most sought after actress of Bollywood, she has touched the zenith despite having a poor hold in Hindi. She has acquired the position of No 1 by dint of her hard work, her choice of movies and her mentor Salman Khan’s advice. There is no denying the fact that Salman Khan played an important role in shaping up Kat’s career. It was Salman who introduced her to top-notch filmmakers of Bollywood and helped Kat getting good movies. Katrina Kaif is thankful to Salman for what he has done for her.
The ‘Dhoom 3 actress said in an interview that Salman’s advice is invaluable and very important for her career.
“I can't speak for other people but at the end of the day, your work has to credit you and it has to take you forward, but personally do I think Salman's advice has been important? Yes, I think it's been invaluable. He's had a very strong basic sense of the working of the film industry, so that's helpful. But it's quite similar to Anushka Sharma and all other YRF protégés having Adi (Aditya Chopra) advise them. In my case having Salman and his circle to give me advice was definitely very useful and very important,” she told a leading website when asked how much credit would she give to Salman's guidance.
Kat gives credit to Salman for her successful career. Her last film with the hunk was YRF’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. The film was a super dupe hit and their pairing was hugely liked.
Katrina was also romantically linked with Salman but they mutually drifted apart and the reason of their break-up is assumed to be marriage. Salman wants to settle down but she is not ready to get hitched at the peak stage of her career. Sallu did not force his decision on her and let her go her way. Though split-up, Kat maintained a cordial relationship with Sallu and his family.
Presently, the actress is dating the heartthrob of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor. They love took off on the set of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahini’. Though the couple hit the gossip column very often for their on and off relationship, they are said to be pretty serious about their relationship.
Katrina has a promising 2012 and this year also her kitty is full with quality movies. She will be seen in Yash Raj Films ‘Dhoom 3’ with Aamir Khan, Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Bang Bang’ with Hrithik Roshan and director Kabir Khan's next with Saif Ali Khan.
