Mamta Kulkarni ties the knot with jailed drug dealer

Mamta Kulkarni is back in news. She got married to boyfriend of 25 years, a drug dealer by the name Vicky Goswami. It was learnt that Vicky Goswami was sentenced to life for drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia but due to his moral conduct, he was released before the jail term got over and he reportedly converted to Islam and married to Mamta Kulkarni.

During his absence, Mamta was looking after all his real estate business, including one luxury hotel in Dubai. Source close to the couple informed that Vicky is now in Dubai with his trustworthy wife Mamta. Recently, Mamta turned down stage shows due to her marital status. Vicky and Mamta happily settled in Nairobi now.
Rashid Saeed, one of the most well-known event organisers in Dubai, said: "It was extremely difficult to get in touch with Mamta. She was very reticent and turned down all offers to perform at our shows. Late last year, we were told by common friends that she was married and she would never perform on stage again."

"A life sentence in Dubai is in effect 25 years, but prisoners can apply for early release on various grounds. Apart from good conduct, these include learning to recite passages from the Qu'ran or converting to Islam. To strengthen his clemency appeal, Goswami converted to Islam and was married according to Islamic rites while incarcerated," an article in the Mail & Guardian read. 
While the opposition lawyer went against the decision of the court, emphasizing that he is an international criminal and forgiving him on the ground of good conduct and a pious Muslim is unjustified.
Vicky Goswami came to his native place India in December 2012 according to the court’s verdict and after staying for a short period, he left for Kenya. Since no criminal cases are pending on his name, he can move freely to any places of the world.
Mamta starred in few Bollywood movies but suddenly she faded from the film industry.  It was believed that she faced financial crisis which made her fell for the drug dealer. In 1997, Vicky arrested for trafficking 11.5 tonnes of mandrax ($ 6 million). Mamta has two sisters one lives in Mumbai and the other takes care of her house back in Mumbai.
Mamta Kulkarni was considered one of the boldest actresses of Bollywood. She created ripples when she posed topless for a magazine.
