New girl Chetna Pande portrays MMS victim on-screen




Debutante Chetna Pande made her debut in Bollywood with a bold movie, titled, ‘I Don’t Luv U’ which is based on MMS scandal. Chetna said that she enjoyed playing the role of MMS victim because she could relate to the character. Ruslaan Mumtaz of ‘Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar’ and ‘Dangerous Ishq’, plays the lead opposite Chetna in the film.
The film has been produced by Amrapali Media Vision, part of Amrapali Group, a real estate group.
Speaking about the film, Chetna says the film is about an MMS leak, it is about today’s youth, how much they look at love and relationship and how technology affects their love life.
"The character portrays the trouble and stigma faced by MMS victims. When such news hit the headlines, it evokes interest. But rarely do we get to know how life turns upside down for the victim," Chetna said. ‘I Don’t Luv U is written and directed by Amit Kasaria and produced by Dr Anil Kumar Sharma and Dr Pallavi Mishra, the film is set for May 17 release.
The film revolves around the recent incidents about MMS controversy which is affecting the life of young girls today.
Chetan hails from Dehradun, she comes from a non-filmy, middle-class family. She narrates the incident how she embark into showbiz. Chetna was pursing her MBA course from a Pune college when she was called for audition. She left MBA in the mid-way to try her luck in Bollywood.
"For some reasons, the Ekta Kapoor show did not work out but I could not think of anything but working in films," says Chetna, who worked in several ads and also in Tamil film.
Ruslaan plays a rich spoil brat who is never serious about relationships.
The film was shot in a management institute in Ghaziabad, where the entire cast and crew was had a great time shooting at the institute
