Sometimes the Bollywood stars were held at the airport for their surname and sometimes they were detained for carrying undeclared stuff. This time Ranbir Kapoor fell prey of custom fiasco. Ranbir Kapoor is in the news again and this time for a wrong reason. The ‘Barfi!’ actor was detained at Mumbai international airport on his way home from London. The actor was carrying some undeclared stuffs with him. After interrogating the actor for three long hours, he was set free with a fine of Rs. 50,000. He was returning to Mumbai from London via a British Airways’ aircraft.
Only when the Kapoor scion clarified all the queries of the custom officials and paying custom duty Rs. 50,000, he was allowed to move on.
It was not very long when Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had been detained at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi for carrying undeclared currency amounting to about 1.24 lakh US dollars. He was held at the airport for several hours and when things got clear, he was allowed to move.
Few months back, Minissha Lamba was also detained at the Mumbai international airport for 16 long hours for carrying jewellery worth over Rs 50 lakh.
