Ranbir Kapoor turns reporter

Karan Johar’s next, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD) was filmed at various locations — from Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir to even Paris. So it is a given that the cast and crew had a good time while shooting it. And now, the audience can get a sneak peek of all that fun. A leading travel channel has teamed up with Dharma Productions for a documentary on the making of YJHD.
A source close to the production house reveals, “The crew travelled vastly in Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and even Paris for the film’s shoot. The channel’s unit, which has been with us from day one, has captured all the moments and made a documentary of it. They will be presenting it as a series. The point is to show the entire making of the film along with the adventures they had while shooting.”
The hour-long show will be aired once a week. It will star Ranbir Kapoor and have about seven to eight episodes. The source adds, “Ranbir will play a reporter on behalf of the channel and will explain all that’s going on.”
Ask director Ayan Mukerji about this and he says, “The tie up with the channel is a collaboration which makes me happy and proud. I love that the channel represents a zest for food, places and experiences in life. Their unit was a great energy on the sets, and I am deeply excited to see what they have as part of the documentary.”
