This Nikhil Advani’s crime thriller is set to be a hard-hitting
film with five National Award winners making up the movie. These are
Rishi Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan, Shankar Mahadevan and Nikhil
Advani himself. Huma Quereshi and Shruti Haasan are the leading ladies
in the film slated to hit theatres on July 19.
After playing the deadly butcher Rauf Lala in Agneepath and a
policeman in Aurangzeb, Rishi Kapoor is the new serious man of
Bollywood. Rishi will be seen in a role with stark similarity with
underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in the film D Day. The vast transformation
from a romantic heartthrob to a cruel villain, Rishi Kapoor is surely
set to emerge as the new Mogambo or Gabbar of Bollywood. Rishi has
previously worked with Nikhil Advani in Patiala House in the role of
Akshay Kumar’s father.
The trailer of the film shows Rishi Kapoor resembling Dawood Ibrahim in a moustache and saying “Karachi Band Karao”.

Kumar is also going to step into Dawood’s shoes in an upcoming film. The
recent Arjun Kapoor’s film Aurangzeb is also a story of gangsters and
their victims.
