Director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, who are looking forward to the release of the first zombie comedy film 'Go Goa Gone', are promoting 'Say no to drugs' message through it

"As the name suggests, the film is related to Goa but nothing derogatory. The people in Mumbai and elsewhere have a perception about Goa that it is a place where people go to sit, relax, party, chill, but all in good sense. What happens there is our version of the story," the duo said.

"But there is a message at the end of the film 'Say no to drugs'. If you do drugs then you will turn into a zombie," they said. Co-directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of 'Shor in the City' fame, it is being promoted as India's first zombie comedy film, which will see Saif Ali Khan playing a Russian mafia, the zombie-hunter, and others including Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta.

Since it is a zombie film, it was quite tough for the directors to get the look right. "It is very tough because it is the first of its kind here. It is the most challenging thing. The prosthetics and expertise is not there. We have found a lot of experts from round the world. We did a lot of experiments on looks over skype to get the look right," the duo said.

"But at the same time we did not intend to go too gory just to shock or scare people. We wanted to get the right zombie effect, they look original and authentic," they added.

The makers roped in experts from Australia, Shaun and Tom Luthara, who also teamed up with make-up guys here to make the zombie's look authentic. The makers did zombie workshops as they felt the actors need to be trained in their body language, etc.

Releasing on May 10, the film is produced by Saif. The director duo are not thinking much about box office collection, but hope the audience will like the film.
