Salman, Ajay, Ranbir visit Sanjay Dutt late night

With his final plea being rejected by the Supreme Court, actor Sanjay Dutt is all set to surrender to serve out his sentence. He turned to his friends in the industry in his hour of need and they did not turn him down. Some of the well known personalities of the film industry including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, David Dhawan, Fardeen Khan

Fardeen Khan, Ayan Mukherjee and Ranbir Kapoor was seen visiting the star late last night.
Sanjay was arrested in connection with the infamous Mumbai blasts of 1993 when he was found in possession of a 9 mm pistol and an AK-56 rifle in a notified area. He was charged under TADA and the Arms Act. Later, he was acquitted of the charges under TADA but was found guilty under the Arms Act. He was sentenced to six years in prison. Dutt had appealed to the higher courts, but his appeal was denied by the apex court which described his offense as ‘serious’. His Delhi based team had filed a review petition arguing that since he was acquitted under TADA, he could not be found guilty using that confession under the Arms Act. However, the petition was rejected and the time allowed for surrender for the actor is up. Dutt has three and a half years of sentence left to carry out. He has decided to surrender at the TADA court in Mumbai despite his earlier petition to surrender staright at the Yerawada jail in Pune or the Arthur Road jail in Mumbai.
According to sources, Sanjay have turned to Salman and Ajay Devgn to look after his wife Manyata and three children while he serves the remainder of his sentence. He is also worried about the fate of his production house because Manyata may not be able to run it by herself. Dutt has received assurances from both Salman and Ajay that they will take care of his ventures. They have also promised to star in the films produced by this house if the need arise. Dutt has currently completed the preliminary work on a film Hasmukh Pighal Gaya,to be directed by Sejal Shah, written by Amar Tipnis of Oh My God fame. Salman and Ajay has promised to launch the film in his absence.
Dutt was visibly stricken as he addressed the media saying, "This a very, very tough time. Just let me be in peace till I go in."
