Salman all set to launch Katrina's sister Isabelle

Salman Khan is rapidly earning the sobriquet of the Godfather of Bollywood as he had helped to launch the careers of several leading ladies including Katrina Kaif, Zarinne Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and others. The latest name to be added to this list is that of Isabelle, the sister to Katrina Kaif who was rumored to be till recently in a relationship with Salman.
With Katrina as the elder sister, there had been talk of Isabelle appearing in the movies for quite some time. Once it was rumored that she would be cast opposite Harshvardhan – the son of Anil Kapoor. Then, Katrina was in talks with director Ayan Mukherjee to cast her. It was even said that little sister would appear in the first film to be launched by the production house that Katrina will set up.
However, all these projects came to naught. Isabelle is actually making her debut, not in Bollywood, but in a Canadian film which is going to be co-produced by Salman Khan under the banner of SKBH Movies (Salman Khan Being Human). The other co producers are First Take Entertainment and Caramel Film.
The debut film of Isabelle is called Dr. Cabby. It is being directed by the famous Canadian director Jean-François Pouliot. The plot revolves round a young Indian medical student who comes to Canada for further studies, but he is denied entrance by the local medical schools. He is forced to drive a taxi. The lead role of the Indian student will be played by Vinay Virmani who appeared last in Speedy Singhs in 2011. Adrienne Palicki who appeared in GI Joe: Retaliation will play the role opposite him. Isabelle is being cast as the second lead in the film. She will appear opposite Kunal Nayyar – a star from the hugely popular American TV Show, The Big Bang Theory. This is his debut film also. It is a $25 million project and the film will be distributed by Eros International in India. It is currently being filmed in Canada.
Asked about casting Isabelle and Salman’s possible influence at work, a representative of Eros said, “Isabelle went through the audition process like all the other actors. She was cast based on her performance and only because she was a perfect fit for the role.”
The 47 year old actor had played mentor again! Like his previous launches, Isabelle too will probably make her mark with her debut film.
