Salman Khan will play cameo in Shahid Kapoor starrer and Rajkumar Santoshi directed movie, Phata Poster Nikla Hero'.
Shahid is playing the role of a police inspector in the film and Salman
who played fearless policeman in 'Dabangg' will be sharing screen space
with Shahid Kapoor. When director Rajkumar Santoshi approached Salman Khan for the scene, he readily accepted. Salman Khan is a surprise package of the movie and his role in the movie has been kept under wrap. A source close to the production house revealed, "They shot the scene with Salman Khan over the last weekend at a suburban studio. The shoot lasted for six hours or so. And Rajkumar wants it to be a surprise for the audience. So, no one - apart from the actors involved in the scene - is aware of what his role is."
Unfortunately, the leading lady Ileana D'Cruz will not be a part of the scene. When contacted Shahid's spokesperson confirmed the news saying, "Yes, Shahid and Salman shot together a few days ago."
Shahid is a great fan of the actor and he is full of praise for Sallu Bhai.
“I don’t think anybody can be Salman Khan. And I don’t think anybody should try and be like him. There is only one Salman Khan and I am sure he is not trying to be like someone else,” Shahid told reporters when he was asked if he wants to be an entertainer like Salman.
“I am a huge fan of him and enjoy his work. I am not trying to be someone else and I am trying to create an identity for myself,” the 31-year-old said.
This is the first time Salman and Shahid will work together.
