The IPL match fixing scandal rocked the nation a few days ago and it seems that the investigation of the case is unearthing bigger stories every day. The bookie Ramesh Vyas who was arrested by the Mumbai police in the past week gave away the name of Vindoo Dara Singh. The bookie told police that Vindoo knew many of the powerful bookies related with the IPL match fixing scam and helped them regularly. This led to the arrest of the actor.
However, amidst all the hues and cries the family of Vindoo has stood behind him. Dina Umrova, the wife of the actor claims that her husband is innocent and states that, "My husband is innocent. He has done no wrong. He may have been friendly to some people but he is innocent. We do not even know what he has been blamed for. The Mumbai police have to say what he has done. We stand by him. He is a very decent man and well loved."
