Finally the D-day has arrived for Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan for which the actress has been waiting for long. She arrived at the Cannes film festival dressed like a princess in a traditional maroon lehenga, jhumka and black bindi. Vidya Balan is ecstatic as she has been invited to be part of the nine jury member at the 66^th Cannes film festival. As we all know Vidya’s all time favorite is traditional Indian dress and hence she opted for traditional lehenga and full neck choli for her debut Cannes appearance. Ace fashion designer cum friend Sabyasachi Mukherjee has designed the special outfit for Vidya and the best thing is that she received applause for her outfit and gracious presence. Media persons can’t stop clicking her photographs. Vidya smiled at her fans and media after arriving. She posed for the camera before entering the venue.

Vidya sports maroon embroidery lehenga choli with earrings by Amrapali Jewels and a watch. If this is her look today, we wonder how she will look at the Cannes red carpet. It is a five days event and Vidya Balan will be staying at the Martinez Hotel throughout the festival.
The 66^th Cannes film festival will celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema and stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Freida Pinto, Sherlyn Chopra, Nandita Das will grace the event. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will walk the Cannes red carpet for his Hollywood debut, ‘The Great Gatsby’. It is highly speculated that Aaradhya Bachchan will also walk the red carpet with her mom but there is no any official confirmation.
