Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha turns 25 today. Sonakshi was born in June 2, 1987. She studied Fashion Designing at Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University in Mumbai. Sonakshi has two twin elder brothers, Luv and Kush. She designed costumes for the movie Mera Dil Leke Deko in 2005.
Sonakshi debuted with the movie, ‘Dabangg’ in 2010 which went on become the highest grosser of 2010. The movie became a blockbuster and Sonakshi became an overnight star. Sonakhsi is not slim and trim like a Bollywood actress but she does not believe in size zero and set a new trend of curvy figure in the present day.In her debut movie, she played a desi girl. She won Filmfare awards and IIFA awards for her debut film.
Post ‘Dabangg’ success, there is no looking back for Sonakshi. In 2012, she had four releases, Prabhudeva’s ‘Rowdy Rathore’ opposite Akshay Kumar, Shirish KUnder’s ‘Joker’ opposite Akshay Kumar, Ashwin Dhir’s ‘Son of Sardaar’ alongside Ajay Devgn andlast but not the least ‘Arbaaz Khan’s ‘Dabangg 2’ which again went to become a blockbuster.
Since her debut, Sonakshi did not run out of work. She has her hands full for 2013. She will be seen in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again’, ‘Bullet Raja’, ‘Rambo Rajkumar’ 'Lootera' and ‘Welcome 2’.
With stardom comes controversy, so Sonakshi also could not save her from getting into controversy. A morphed photo of the actressin bikini was published but she did not care about it and very boldly faced the situation. She was also rumored to be dating Ranveer Singh but the rumor died down naturally.
