One of the most infamous second marriages of Bollywood included Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan’s marriage to Helen.
Salim Khan had married Salma Khan (Salman’s mother) formerly Sushila Charak, a Rajput in 1964. He had four kids with his first wife- Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira. In 1981, he married yesteryear’s actress Helen and they adopted a girl, Arpita.
It is believed that the Khan kids were initially wary of Helen but eventually grew fond of her.
And while it is rare sight to see present and ex wives in a cordial relation with each other, the Khans stand apart. Salma Khan and Helen have been seen many a times together.
In fact during one of Salman’s Being Human shows, Helen was so touched by the great show put up by the Khan brothers, that she kissed Salma Khan on the forehead.
By the end of the show the Khan brothers persuaded Salma and Helen to walk the ramp with them.
