Producer Rajesh Vyas has filed a criminal complaint
under section 420, 406, 506 (cheating, breach of trust and threatening)
against Shahid Kapoor’s mother Neelima Azeem in Andheri Metropolitan
court.
Rajesh Vyas’s advocate Neeraj Gupta speaks while talking
exclusively with Daily Bhaskar informs, “My client producer Rajesh Vyas
had made a contract with Neelima Azeem in 2000 according to which
Neelima promised to rope in Priyanka Chopra and Emraan Hashmi for a film
directed by her. In return, she quoted 15 lakhs which was readily
given to her. Besides, the exorbitant amount, Azeem also, took money to
sign rest of the crew including choreographers.”
Neelima according to the advocate, however, failed to keep her
promise. Gupta further adds, “Neelima was unable to live up to the
promise. She has been very troublesome for my client
Rajesh over the period of time. So much so, that after failing to
bring Priyanka and Emraan onboard, Neelima had claimed son Shahid to be
backing the film as the main lead but that promise too fell flat.”
He goes on to add, “If that was not enough, the actress started
threatening my client as he started demanded his hard earned money to be
given back to him since things were not progressing at all.”
Rajesh filed the case against Neelima on May 21, 2013 and the next hearing is on June 12, 2013.
