Jacqueline Fernandez who is currently in news for her break-up with longtime beau director Sajid Khan has got a reason to smile. She has been signed opposite the superstar of Bollywood, Salman Khan in Sajid Nadiadwala’s directional debut, ‘Kick’. With Jacqueline coming on board, the rumor of Deepika Padukone to play Salman’s leading lady has been put to rest.
Jacqueline who debuted with the film 'Aladin' opposite Riteish Deshmukh is thrilled to bag the big project. The big contender for ‘Kick’ was Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline but finally Sajid Nadiadwala signed Jacqueline. This is the first time Jacqueline and Salman will be working together and it is expected that the fresh pair will definitely drag audience to the theatre.
There is no denying the fact that Jacqueline striking performance in ‘Race 2’ bagged her ‘Kick’. "Also, Nadiadwala wanted someone who could give four-five months to the project at a stretch," a source said. On Saturday evening, Jacqueline signed on the dotted line.
Nadiadwala has also roped in well known international names like cinematographer Alexander Witt and stunt directors Phillipe Guegan and Spiro Razatos for Kick.
‘Kick’ is a Hindi remake of Telugu movie with the same name. Apart from Salman and Jacqueline, the film also stars Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal
