Katrina parties with Ranbir, Deepika stays away

The controversy between Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone shows no signs of abating. In fact, something keeps happening to add fuel to the fire. The latest in the long line of incidents is the party given for the cast and crew of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, slated to be released soon.
Much speculation surrounds this upcoming film where Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are playing the lead roles. The rhythmic music of the film has already captured the public fantasy. Siddharth Roy Kapoor and wife Vidya Balan threw a small bash at their Juhu residence for the successful wrap up of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The film is produced by Aditya Roy Kapoor – brother to Siddharth. The entire cast and crew of the film turned up, but interestingly, the leading lady was absent. Deepika Padukone made no appearance at the bash. The actress is said to be extremely busy with her various work commitments. She is currently working on her latest project Chennai Express. Then she has to return to complete her portion in Ram leela.
So, was work the only reason why Deepika missed the party? Well, it could have been so, but the matter appears to be more complicated because though Deepika was not present, Katrina Kaif was very much present at the bash looking extremely fetching with her nautical jacket with a white tank. She arrived and left early and managed to avoid the shutterbugs, but it has to be asked; what was Kat doing at the bash for her former boyfriend? Ranbir on the other hand was snapped with his friend and director of Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani Ayan Mukherjee. Kalki Koechlin and Karan Johar were also spotted at the party.
It seems that fans who want to see Ranbir and Deepika together will have to wait till the end of the month, when the movie is being released. Director Ayan Mukherjee heaped praise upon his leading couple saying, "Their dating earlier was not a big deal, they were a couple, there were a lot of controversies later like the Koffee with Karan episode and etc. But today there is nothing like that... they are now good friends and co-stars." He said, "They are very comfortable with each other. It makes me feel good about their attitude towards work."
That may be true, but Kat and Dip are still not going to the same party.
