Kiran Rao and Siddharth Roy Kapoor join hands to bring the ‘Ship of Theseus’

Kiran Rao has embarked on a new journey where she wants to nurture talent and filmmakers. She saw Anand Gandhi’s new venture ‘Ship of Theseus’ and decided to present the film with UTV Motion Pictures and present it to the Indian Market.

The trailer launch that took place on Wednesday at a suburban venue saw Kiran Rao, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Anand Gandhi and Producer Mukesh Shah.

‘Ship of Theseus’ is a film that explores questions of identity, justice, beauty, meaning and death through the stories of an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and an enterprising stockbroker. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2012, and has subsequently been screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival, the BFI London Film Festival, the Dubai International Film Festival, the Mumbai Academy of Moving Images, the Brisbane International Film Festival, the Rotterdam International Film Festival and the Honk Kong International Film Festival 2013.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in India on 19th July, 2013.
