Meet Avan Contractor, the lady behind Aamir Khan’s Sonia avatar

If one was wonder who added that perfect cut to Aamir Khan’s latest Sonia Avatar for Godrej Ad, its none other than the famous hair styling brand b:blunt’s Avan Contractor.  It’s nothing new for us to see Aamir in female attire s as he has donned the look previously too in films. But Avan made sure the actor looks like a pretty spinster which was the key requirement of the advert. Avan worked painstakingly with her b:blunt team to create various wigs of perfect length for ‘Sonia’ as he is called in the advert.

“As per the brief, I had to make Aamir look like a slightly older woman yet modern…somewhat like a hip aunty! The idea was to have a good balance of making him look feminine yet not make him unrecognizable. We decided to work with shoulder length hair with some layers and a ling side fringe to add softness and the hair colour was a blend of a brown and a slightly lighter brown with a few scattered greys to give it a very natural and soft look. He loved it and so did the director and the agency!”say the hairstylist.
