Rani Mukerji to turn mom in January 2016!

Rani Mukerji, who is already booked on family time, is pregnant and out of the country with hubby, reports Mumbai Mirror. Over the past few weeks, rumour mills have been buzzing overtime with the news that the stork has visited Rani, who tied the knot with filmmaker Aditya Chopra on April 21, 2014, in an extremely private ceremony in Italy. Rani, who has always been guarded about her personal life, refused to comment on the pregnancy. However, Mirror reports that the actress is in her second trimester and the baby is due in January. Rani's sister-in-law, Jyoti Mukerji, a popular TV actress, accidentally confirmed the news saying, "Yes, Rani is pregnant." A source close to the actress revealed that she is presently travelling with Aditya and is out of the country. The couple took off to London at the end of July and Rani was spotted by a fan at a spa getting a pre-natal massage. "They returned to India last week after travelling in the UK for over a month but have taken off again, no one knows where," added the source. Since, UK seems to be a frequent getaway, will the baby be born in the Queen's City? "No, the delivery will take place in Mumbai," the source asserted.

Hrithik yet to decide on "Aashiqui 3"

Actor Hrithik Roshan says he is yet to take a call on "Aashiqui 3". 

"What 'Aashiqui 3'? You want me to do it. I will think about it," the actor said. 

When producer Bhushan Kumar was asked if "Aashiqui 3" has been finalised, Hrithik interrupted saying, "I loved him as a producer. I myself have gone to him and said you have to produce a film for me... So, let him think. Give him sometime." 

Hrithik and Sonam Kapoor have recreated the popular track "Dheere Dheere" from Mahesh Bhatt's 1990 blockbuster "Aashiqui". The single was released today. 

Starring Sonam and Hrithik, the song is a tribute to T-Series' late honcho Gulshan Kumar.



Meanwhile, gossip mills are also abuzz that Hrithik would be paired opposite Deepika Padukone in Yash Raj Films' next. The film will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. 

To this, Hrithik said, "A little bit true... But can't tell you which part of it is true." 

Regarding rumours of a sequel to his film "Bang Bang" with Siddharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandes, the actor said, "I don't know why they did not take me... Ask them."

Sooraj Pancholi's Hero's stunts stylised by internationally-renowned stunt coordinators

Salman Khan is extremely particular and passionate about Hero, produced by veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai and him, and directed by Nikhil Advani. 

Sources say that he was keenly involved in the overall detailing of this film that introduces star kids Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. The Bollywood superstar reportedly had several meetings with Nikhil, especially when it came to the execution of the action sequences. He wanted a combination of international and desi action for Sooraj's launch. Both of them agreed that the required sequences couldn't be pulled off by a single action director. The duo hence identified three action directors, a mix of national (Mumbai and Chennai) and international directors.

Consequently, Ravi Verma, Amin Arif and Dave Judge (Inception and The Dark Knight Rises) came on board for the film. Amar Butala, COO, Salman Khan Films, says, "The sheer scale ofHero will remind audiences of the grand launches that debutants in the 80s and 90s had, with great music, strong emotions and solid action. As producers, we engaged the best talent in action from India and Hollywood, who have designed some complicated action sequences in snow and water. There are hand-to-hand combats too, all of which make Hero one of the most awaited films this year."

Salman also ensured that Sooraj did intense workshops at his Panvel farmhouse to prepare for the action scenes. And he chose this location so that he could personally monitor the youngster's progress.


The action scenes in the climax are huge and they are an integral part of the movie. There were no restrictions on the budget because Salman only wanted the best. The climax by Ravi Verma is shot with Sooraj on a specially-designed gym set with a lot of weights and dumbbells in the backdrop and the crucial scenes were shot in a boxing ring.

Some of the other action sequences that were done in Manali had both Sooraj and Athiya performing dangerous stunts. In one particular scene that is part of the trailer too, their speeding bike had to jump across a broken bridge. Even though Nikhil felt it was prudent to use stunt doubles, both newcomers insisted on doing the scene on their own. As the bike zipped across the bridge, the entire unit held their breath, but heaved a sigh of relief as the duo managed to give a superb take! Nikhil says, "Any stunt requires a great deal of practice and precision. In Hero, most of the action was shot in snow and on bikes and many things could go wrong. However, we had a super team of action directors that made sure we worked hard at getting the best possible shots. Of course, having Salman's 30 years of expertise helped a great deal in making the action look contemporary and dynamic."

Welcome Back' has twice the extravagance and laughter of its earlier part

Bollywood sequels are turning out to be lucrative at the box office. This week comes yet another sequel, Welcome Back, produced by Firoz A Nadiadwallah under his banner, Base Industries Group. Its ensemble cast, astounding locations, high-octane action, foot-tapping music and the direction of Anees Bazmee, promises double the extravagance and laughter of Welcome (2007).

What is it about?

Uday (Nana Patekar) and Majnu (Anil Kapoor), the bhais of the first part have quit the underworld and have become businessmen. Two women, Chandni (Ankita Srivastava) and Maharani (Dimple Kapadia) posing as Princess and Queen of Najafgarh, enter their lives and the men can't wait to tie the knot with them. But first, their stepsister Ranjana (Shruti Haasan) has to be married off. Enters Ajay aka Ajju (John Abraham), a street smart bhai from Mumbai, who falls in love with Ranjana. Having moved away from crime themselves, Uday and Majnu try every trick to separate the young couple, but in vain. That's when they decide to take help from the most powerful underworld don, Wanted Bhai (Naseeruddin Shah). How Ajju saves Ranjana from the clutches of Wanted Bhai and his son (Shiney Ahuja) forms the climax of this comedy.

SYNOPSIS:

They each discover a new sense of self and find an anchor to hold on to in the big city of Mumbai that so often crushes hopes and dreams. But since they've never met, Ila and Saajan become lost in a virtual relationship that could jeopardize both their realities.
