'English Vinglish' hits 90 screens in Germany Thursday

A dubbed version of Indian actress Sridevi's comeback movie "English Vinglish" opened in as many as 90 screens in Germany Thursday.

The movie was highly appreciated in India and some international destinations when it released in 2012.

Produced by Eros International in association with R. Balki, the movie marked the directorial debut of Gauri Shinde, who hopes the movie will do well in Germany.

"I am extremely happy that 'English Vinglish' is spreading across continents. In my last visit to Berlin, the response for the film was overwhelming during a festival and now I look forward eagerly to the countrywide response," Shinde said in a statement.

Its producers too hope that the "global triumph" of the movie continues.

"We are confident of opening up further new avenues for exhibition," said Pranab Kapadia, president (Marketing and Distribution), Eros International.

"English Vinglish" is the story of a middle-class woman Shashi Godbole, a character essayed by Sridevi, who is skilled at many things except the English language. Her husband and daughter often bully her, but she emerges strong and takes up the challenge of learning the language while on a trip to New York.

Aditi Rao Hydari, a gol-gappa fan!

Actress Aditi Rao Hydari says she can gorge on street food all day long, and she especially loves pani puri or gol-gappa.

She made the revelation on TV show `Stars In Your City`, which airs on UTV Stars. The show explores different cities of the country with some of India's favourite celebrities.

This time, the show hits the streets of the country's city of dreams Mumbai, where Aditi was spotted indulging in different food delights and pampering herself at a spa.

`I love food. I love gol gappa. I don't care how many people are around, I just run to eat gol gappe, ` she said on the show.

With such love for food and pani puri, one wonders how the actress manages to maintain her figure.

`I believe that one must eat the right amount of food at the right time. And god has been very kind to me that he has given me a small appetite. But I eat everything, ` she said.

The episode featuring Aditi will go on air Sunday.

Anil Kapoor's 24 Casting wrapped up

The most awaited TV Series 24 which is acted and produced by the iconic actor Anil Kapoor has completed it's principal Casting Stage. The series is said to be India's most expensive T.V.Series so far. 24 is an official remake of American's critically acclaimed Series of the same name.

The cast includes Anil Kapoor himself enacting the part of Jack Bauer which was originally played by American actor Kiefer Sutherland. Though this character will be very much Indianized revealed Anil Kapoor.

The very excited Anil Kapoor also added some days back in an Interview "Me and director Abhinay Deo are working a lot on 24. We are at this point of time on the Casting Level of the series. There are Actors from the Bollywood but there are new faces too.

And the Channel is also encouraging us on bringing new faces in the Series." Rest of the cast is still kept under wraps as sources adds "Anil Kapoor is personally present in all the rehearsals of every episode and he is leaving no stone unturned."

24 is a Political Thriller and each 24-episode season covers 24 hours in the life of the main protagonist (Anil Kapoor) using the real time method of narration. The series will be aired on Colors and is directed by Abhinay Deo who had earlier directed 'Delhi Belly'. The official airing dates are yet to be announced.

Kamal threatens to quit India, 'Vishwaroopam' ban stays

An emotional Kamal Hassan Wednesday threatened to quit India if the ban in Tamil Nadu on his controversial film "Vishwaroopam" wasn't lifted but the Madras High Court reimposed the ban. The actor was likely to challenge the fresh ban in the Supreme Court, sources said.

As controversy swirled over the Rs.95 crore multilingual espionage thriller, the acclaimed actor said he had agreed to make cuts in the movie that some Muslim groups found objectionable.

Sources close to Kamal said the filmstar was likely to approach the Supreme Court Thursday.

Kamal, 58 and one of southern cinema's most successful stars, said if the ban on his Tamil-Telugu film was not lifted, he might have to look out for a "secular state" abroad.

Saying he was fed up with the opposition to the movie, Kamal said here: "If there is no secular state in India, I would go overseas. I think Tamil Nadu wants me out.

"M.F. Husain had to do it and now Haasan will have to do it. It's fine. What would change is my passport. I would still be an Indian.

"I have pledged all my property for the film. I have lost my house because of delay in (its) release, " he said.

He said he had invested his lifetime's savings, including all his assets, on the film that has also been dubbed in Hindi and which has been released in the US and Canada.

Soon afterwards, he met Muslim leaders here and announced he was ready to make cuts said to be maligning India's largest religious minority.

"There is no (more) difference between me and my Muslim brothers. It is our duty to take care of them. There are four scenes that are being pointed out and I am willing to remove these scenes from the movie, " he said.

The lavishly mounted film, which stars Kamal and is written, produced and directed by him, was banned by the Tamil Nadu government after some Muslim groups complained that it portrayed the community in poor light.

The film was to release Jan 25 in Tamil Nadu but saw the light of the day only in a few places in Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

It was banned in these places too after the first show. As the protests became vocal, it was also banned in Malaysia and Sri Lanka after two days of run. But the movie is now running in the other southern states.

Kamal said he was still trying to understand why "some members with strong political backing" were against his film.

"The film is running successfully in other states and the feedback from the audience has also been positive."

On Wednesday, the Madras High Court overturned Tuesday's single bench ruling revoking the ban on "Vishwaroopam", which revolves around the story of an Al Qaeda plot in the US and an Indian couple.

The high court bench chaired by Justice Dharma Rao asked the filmmaker and the Tamil Nadu government to respond by Monday.

The film fraternity are backing Kamal and his film, cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

CBFC chairperson Leela Samson said Wednesday that the ban was "an infringement on freedom of expression". "This is hounding of an artist, an icon of Tamil Nadu, " Samson told CNN-IBN.

Said Actor Siddharth: "What a sad day. What a horrible week. Taliban Tamil Nadu."

Director Mahesh Bhatt said Kamal was a victim of state terrorism.

As Kamal's critics and fans took to the streets, sporadic violence was reported in Tamil Nadu.

Miscreants attacked with petrol bombs a theatre planning to screen "Vishwaroopam" in Ramanathapuram, 310 km from here. Tyres were set on fire outside a Chennai theatre.

In Chennai, DMK chief M. Karunanidhi wondered whether the ban was linked to Kamal's comment obliquely supporting Finance Minister P. Chidambaram as India's prime minister.

In New Delhi, Congress spokesman P.C. Chacko said Kamal's threat to leave India "was an unfortunate statement".

Ram Gopal Varma's daughter gets engaged

Ram Gopal Verma has been a director who had his own niche. He had the talent to direct unusual stories and was lauded for films like “Satya”, “Bhoot”, “Company”, “Rangeela”, “Sarkar” and many more. However, of late his reputation has been going downhill. His films like “Aag” and “Bhoot Returns” have been the butt of all jokes in the industry and outside of it. His recent releases have bombed at the box-office due to a weak script and thus have also received tremendous flak from the film critics and the audiences.
However, now the director is not in the news for his films but for his personal life. His daughter Revathi recently got engaged to her boyfriend Pranav. She is a medical student and the groom-to-be is a doctor. The two got hitched during a stretch of time when they worked together.
What was surprising is that the engagement ceremony took place in a private and simple manner at home. The Bollywood glitterati and associates from the Telugu industry were also not present at the ceremony. Only close family members presence was witnessed at the occasion. Later they moved on to the Radisson Hotel at Hyderabad.
A source threw some light on this saying, “Contrary to belief, RGV is very private when it comes to his family. He dotes on his daughter. Only a few close friends and family members were present at Revathi's engagement ceremony at home. Later that evening, they continued the party at a star hotel."
It is also being claimed that since Revathi is no film actress or celebrity the family is refraining from making any hullabaloo over her marriage. The same had been noticed in another marriage of that of Malavika, the daughter of Suresh Babu, down south. They too solemnized the marriage without any hype.
Ram Gopal Verma did not divulge any details about his daughter’s engagement to the media. However, his close friend talented director S.S Rajamouli who was present at the occasion tweeted and commented in a playful manner. His quote read, “Had the pleasure/privilege of watching @RGVzoomin playing a dutiful father at revathi's reception. What a sight!!!! Ha ha ha ha."
The wedding date has not yet been revealed by Ram Gopal Verma or his family. However, rumors are abound in the media that the wedding will be taking place in the month of August this year. However nothing has yet been confirmed by the family.

Salman wants Tabu and Naseer in ‘Radhe’

Salman Khan insisted his brother Sohail Khan to cast talented actors Tabu and Naseeruddin Shah in the Hindi remake of Murugadoss’s ‘Stalin’ titled ‘Radhe’. Salman who is seen in bindaas and action role for quite sometime is expected to undergo an image makeover with ‘Radhe’ and will play a more intense role in ‘Radhe’. Salman will play a good Samaritan in the movie.
While Sohail said that the actors are yet to give their nod, a source quoted as saying: “Before leaving for Dubai on Wednesday, Sohail spoke to Tabu and Naseer for two important roles in the film."

The source added that “it was at Salman`s insistence that Tabu and Naseer were contacted. Salman felt that the supremely talented duo could give the film a touch of class. Also, the film sees him as a military officer who sets out to reform society.”
If all the three stars come together for the movie then it would be for the first time combination of the three, Salman, Tabu and Naseer will share same screen space. Salman wants to give the film a midas touch.
It is suggested that Tabu will be playing Salman’s sister in the movie but Naseer’s role is not yet clear. This would be Salman and Tabu's fourth film together as in the past they have acted together in films like Hum Saath Saath Hain, Biwi No 1 and Jeet.
It is expected that we will get to see altogether a new Salman Khan in 'Radhe'!

Nargis Fakhri dismisses marriage rumor

News is doing all the rounds that ‘Rockstar’ actress Nargis Fakhri is going to enter into wedlock with Uday Chopra but as usual the report has been denied by the lady in news Nargis Fakhri. Nargis who debuted opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ vehemently denied the report of her wedding to Uday.
The 33 year old actress took to twitter to clear the weather of her marriage, "Happily single and totally into my work. I am not getting married anytime soon to anyone. Who started this rumour?," Fakhri posted.
The report also said that Uday and Nargis has been dating for a year and both are destined to take their relationship to the next level. It is also reported that the duo in fact decided to get hitched much early but the sudden demise of Yash Chopra has postponed their wedding.
The report does not end here. It is also said that Uday’s mother Pamela liked her son’s choice she met with Nargis’s mother to discuss about wedding details. The wedding is said to be held in March this year.
It is heard that Uday and Nargis’s love story took off from the set of Nargis’s upcoming film ‘Madras Café’, a political thriller directed by Shoojit Sircar. The film also stars John Abraham in the male lead and the film deals with with the subject of terrorism. The movie will be shot in Sri Lanka, South India and Delhi.
In 2009, Nargis posed for Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar and in 2011, she debuted with ‘Rockstar’. Fakhri has signed three films contract with Akshay Kumar’s Hari Om Productions.
Uday and Nargis’s marriage is very surprising because they hardly seen together and Uday also did not reveal about his choice. In the past, he is rumored to be dating Parineeti Chopra. Uday is currently shooting ‘Dhoom 3’ and it is said to be his last Bollywood film.

Gosh! Sunny's web gets 10k paid subscriptions from India

The All-India Youth Forum (AIYF) has blamed the glorification of porn, violence, sex and sleaze by the Indian film industry and the Indian media in general for the Delhi rape incident which claimed the life of an innocent, hardworking girl.

Speaking to news persons in Mumbai, General Secretary of the AIYF Nikhil Fernandes said, `An unknown model drapes a flag around a waist and within a week she is a celebrity interviewed by all top TV channels. Another girl poses nude claiming that she wants to feature in Playboy and she makes headlines.

Sunny Leone whose only claim to fame is her porn career is glorified as though she has won an Oscar for her performance. Why do Indian organizers, TV channels and film makers invite porn stars for their work? It is just another short cut route to instant publicity. We have become a nation of short cutters (sic).

Our politicians want a short cut route to make money and our youth follow suit. We have become a nation obsessed with porn and sleaze as every day porn stars like Sunny Leone and Sherlyn Chopra are reported in glowing terms by the Indian media.`


Meanwhile the AIYF released data to show that thousands of Indians have subscribed to porn websites like that of Sunny Leone thanks to her popularity in India. Pramila Sharma of the research cell of the AIYF said that according to figures available over 80,000 Indians used the services of payment gateways to access and pay subscriptions to porn sites, adult dating sites and other sex chat lines or sex websites during the year 2012.

Sunny Leone has got over 10,000 paid subscriptions to her porn website from India alone, according to data collated from various sources in India and the United States. Pramila Sharma blasted film maker Mahesh Bhatt and Ekta Kapoor and held them responsible for the `porn culture` spreading in India.

`If respected film makers like Mahesh Bhatt and Ekta Kapoor who have deep pockets can resort to cheap tricks to promote their films, what can we expect of lesser individuals. Why do we blame one or two persons? Why doesn't society introspect and look inside. Lakhs of youth protested in Delhi, but did anyone bother to look into the actual problem.


Unemployed or semi-employed youth who live away from their wives or homes are exposed to porn which is easily available. Either the government should legalize prostitution or ban surrogate promotion of porn in India,` Pramila Sharma said.

Arjun Rampal has no camp to go

With news of Bollywood getting 'divided' making headlines every other day, the one word that's commonly used is 'camp'. While industry insiders keep speculating about Arjun Rampal's rapport in Bollywood, Arjun himself prefers to keep away from such rumors.

A recent article in a leading tabloid stated yet another baseless story about Arjun Rampal.

Being known to always have a neutral stance, Arjun stated that, `All the rumors are just plain silly. I don't believe in camps.` He prides himself on having good relations with all his co-stars, and firmly believes in working on the basis of the quality of work and nothing else. The star even tweeted about the same rubbishing all the rumors.

Keeping a straightforward attitude through it all, Arjun Rampal prefers not to play along with such fabrications. His focus and dedication towards work is a clear indication that his life has no room for unwarranted gossip.

Anushka and Deepika fight for brands

Like films, the ad world is also a competitive world. Actors crave for good brand as it is an easy way to earn good bucks. Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone has taken their rivalry from filmdom to ad world. Reports are doing the rounds that Anushka Sharma is unhappy with Deepika Padukone for snatching away her brands.
It is also said that Anushka has cut down her rate to grab the deal which she has lost to Deepika. With so many rumors doing the rounds, the Anushka is quite upset and dismisses all those false accusations. She said that it is media who is trying to create misunderstanding between people and at the same time she states her well disciplined bringing up.
Anushka Sharma said, "There is absolutely no catfight. People just try and drag you into issues. It's not my problem that people try to pick actresses at random and create wars between them. I have nothing against anybody."
The actress said that she is "too dignified" about her professional work, and added, "It shows poorly on my upbringing. I don't fight with other girls over things and I don't need to do that either. I remain dignified about the way I carry myself."

The actress also said that she find it very cheap to announce how many ad she has in her kitty.
"I find it very cheap to be saying I have X number of ads. I don't need to slash my price. Period," she said.

Katrina Kaif was snapped at the airport with her mother. Hrithik spotted at the airport with his entire family, wife Suzzane Roshan, two sons, father Rakesh Roshan and mother Pinky. Hrithik's elder sister Sunaina Roshan was also seen with them. Hrithik’s uncle Rajesh Roshan also accompanied them, his grand-father and grand-mother also accompanied them.
Sridevi with hubby Boney Kapoor and daughters Jhanvi and Khushi also returned from holiday. Shamita Shetty was also snapped returning from holiday. Rumor abuzz that Katrina Kaif spends Christmas with her family in London but cut short her London trip and joined her rumored boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in New York. Both checked in at the same hotel and loitered along the streets of London.
An onlooker remarked that both looked very much in love. They also went together for a movie.

Abhishek, Riteish to host Zee Cine Awards 2013

Abhishek Bachchan is going to don the hat of an anchor this year. Jr Bachchan will debut as an anchor at the Zee Cine Awards 2013. He will be co-hosting the award show with actor Riteish Deshmukh.
"I am very happy to be a part of Zee Cine Awards (ZCA) this year. I am going to be hosting the show along with my friend and brother, Riteish Deshmukh this time. The audiences have appreciated Riteish and me together in films, I hope they like our pairing at ZCA also because we are really working hard for it," the 36-year-old actor said.
After 15 years, Zee Cine Awards will be held in India, Mumbai. It was previously held in cities like Dubai, London, Mauritius, Malaysia, Singapore and Macau.
“This year the Awards are returning to Mumbai and our effort will be to make the show entertaining for audiences worldwide. We are nothing without the love and support of the audience. And that is the core of ZCA. The audiences have appreciated Riteish and me together in films, hope they like our pairing at ZCA also because we are really working hard for it,” adds the actor.
Riteish, too is excited about hosting the show with Abhi, “Abhi and I are hosting an award function together for the very first time,” he says, adding, “It is a huge responsibility that Zee has bestowed on us and we hope to entertain audiences to the hilt. The platform of Zee is huge and it reaches millions across the globe and we respect the choice of our audiences. This is the year’s biggest awards show. So audience... tayyar ho jayiye... kyunki hum kamar kas ke tayaari kar rahe hain!”
The award show will see performance by superstar like Shahrukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Ayushman Khurana among others.
Both Abhishek and Riteish are busy rehearsing for the show and it is expected that the award ceremony will be a grand one with too many dazzling performances by the stars.

Sonakshi will be seen in a non-desi avatar in 'Himmatwala'

Sajid Khan who has had only three successful films to his credit has roped in Ajay Devgan for his next flick that has been titled “Himmatwala”.
News is that Sonakshi Sinha has been signed in to do a special appearance for this film. She will be doing an item number for the song that will have her portray a look inspired from the 80s. This must have been a great career move for Sonakshi as she has been dreadfully trying to get rid of the ‘desi’ tag that has remained attached to her since her first appearance in films. However, the blame cannot be wholly shifted from the actress as her choice of films has time and again only confirmed the tag.
Recently in the film “Oh My God” Sonakshi and Prabhu Deva danced for an item song in which Sonakshi was seen in not so-classy western clothing. But her first venture to make a breakthrough into fashionable western clothing was noticed.
For the introductory song in this film “Himmatwala”, the ambience will be that of disco era of the 80s with shiny dance floors, disco balls, lights and mirrors. It will have 100 dancers besides 400 extras. It is being touted that the look will draw inspirations from Parveen Babi’s jig in the song “Jawaani Jaaneman” from the film “Namak Halal”.
An insider from the set of the film said, “Sajid has conceived of this lavish introductory song for which he wanted Sonakshi. She has a certain rustic image that she has been trying to break out of. Though she is proud of the roles she has done so far, this song seems like the perfect platform for her to attempt a makeover. Her costumes will be designed by Manish Malhotra."
The music has been composed by the duo of Sajid-Wajid who are riding high on the success of “Dabangg 2”. However, this particular song has been created by Sachin-Jigar. Sundhi Chauhan has rendered her powerful voice for the song. Chinni Prakash will be choreographing this song.
Sajid Khan started his career as a DJ at a club in Mumbai in those times and thus is well-versed with the ambiences of that particular era. It will thus be a return to his roots. A source said, “The set is being construed in a city studio and will be called Funky Town."
Sajid was contacted to confirm this news, to which he said “It's too early to talk about the song, but yes Sonakshi has been roped in."

Injuries abound on the sets of Ranveer-Deepika starrer 'Ram Leela'

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been highly revered as a director for his keen sense of filmmaking. He has made films like “Khamoshi”, “Devdas”, “Black” and “Hum Dil de Chuke Sanam” and has been given huge credit for offering such great stories to the audience. However off late it has been quite some time since he tasted success. His films “Guzaarish” and “Saawariya” that released in the past years bombed at the box-office.
The project titled “Ram Leela” had been in the news since a long time. Kareena Kapoor was supposed to be the star of this film. But she opted out citing money and date issues. Ranveer Singh had already been zeroed in to play the male lead. Deepika Padukone filled in for Kareena’s space.
The news that has made its way straight from the sets of the film is that a crew member suffered a severe accident while filming. However due to early medication and a brilliant stroke of luck he managed to escape some fatal injuries.
Chandramani Vishwakarma who had been working as a light man for this film fell down from a height of 45 feet. Luckily he landed on a parapet that saved his life. He suffered some blows on the back and his legs. When the incident occurred he was immediately rushed to the hospital.
A source from the film’s set said, “Lead actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were on their way. Bhansali was busy supervising the arrangements when the accident took place. Chandramani lost his balance. Thankfully, he fell on a parapet. Else it could have been fatal. The cast and crew were extremely apprehensive about his chances of recovery. With Bhansali`s help, he was admitted on time. By god`s grace, he is somewhat better now.”
Such concern on the part of the director has been appreciated by Chandramani’s family. The source also added saying, “Such concern for one`s crew members is rare in today`s times. Chandramani`s family is extremely grateful to Bhansali, who has been rather modest about it though.”
This film has been repeatedly been in the news for injuries. Earlier Ranveer Singh suffered a wound. Deepika Padukone too injured herself on the sets of this film.
Dinesh Chaturvedi who is the General Secretary of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), said “Bhansali has spent more than Rs 10 lakh on Chandramani's treatment. He has even promised to pay him around Rs 20,000 every month till he is ready to work again. Chandramani is recovering. But it will take quite some time before he is back inaction. He has quite a few injuries on his hands too."

Akshay starts shooting for the Hindi remake of “Thuppakki”

Akshay Kumar has had a great 2012 with a fairly large number of films (read: five) releasing. The year started for him with “Housefull 2” which was a multi-starrer. This film crossed the 100 crore mark. Then “Rowdy Rathore” released that also made 100 crores at the box-office. The film had Sonakshi Sinha in the lead and was directed by Prabhu Deva. Shirish Kunder’s film “Joker” too released in 2012 which Akshay refused to promote owing to the silly content of the film. “Oh My God”, and “Khiladi 786” too made it big at the box-office.
Thus one can say from this line-up of films that Akshay had a great 2012. His wife Twinkle also delivered a baby girl last year and thus both professionally and personally Akshay was on a high.
With the onset of 2013, Akshay started his New Year with the shoot of the Hindi remake of the Tamil film “Thuppakki”. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha again. This film is their third film together after “Rowdy Rathore” and “Joker”.
Akshay tweeted about this saying, “Started shooting my first film in the New Year, the Hindi remake of Thuppakki! Would love to get your good wishes today." This film belongs to the genre of action thriller. It will be directed by A. R Murugadoss who brought about a different take on action with Aamir Khan and Asin Thottumkal starrer “Ghajini” (2008). For “Thuppakki”, it has also been speculated that Akshay will be sporting a fitter and leaner look.
Kajal Aggarwal of “Singham” fame was supposed to be the actress for “Thuppakki” but then its director decided to select Parineeti Chopra for the role. However, Akshay Kumar insisted on signing in Sonakshi Sinha.
The original Tamil version got rave reviews down South. The film released during Diwali last year and had Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal plays the lead roles. The original had also been directed by A. R Murugadoss.
Later this year will also release “Once Upon a Time in Mumbai 2” that also stars Akshay and Sonakshi Sinha. The film is a sequel to the blockbuster by the same name that starred Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai. The sequel will be releasing during Eid and has huge expectations to meet. The film will be a crime drama and will be directed by Milan Luthria who directed the first edition of this film and “The Dirty Picture”.

What makes this show even more different is that this time around reporters were allowed into the activity area of the house to ask questions directly to the contestants. ‘Press conference’ has been an original addition to the show that had previously never ever appeared to have happened on “Bigg Boss”. This was sure to have shaken the contestants as the questions they were asked shed some light on how they had been portrayed outside.
Imam Siddique had to face the brunt of his eccentric behavior inside the house. He was asked if he was a psycho which he answered saying, “I am honest and humble human being. I am not psycho... you can get my medical checkup done. Like everyone I also react spontaneously when I am angry...I lose temper".
Imam has been the most ill-tempered and noncompliant of all the contestants. He even triggered a war of words with the show’s host Salman Khan. When queried about that incident he said, "I did not have a tiff with him (Salman). I misbehaved with him. I have respect for Salman... I have known him for 25 years." He also added, "I don't think this is the right time to talk about that episode. I will talk about it when I will be out of the show."
Imam also made it evident that he was in the show to play a game, "I am here to play the game. If I win the show I will go to Haj... Then I will open a school in Rajasthan.”
It was not only Imam who was questioned but all the other contestants as well. Urvashi Dholakia was probed about the Bakhtiyar incident. Sana Khan and Rajeev Paul were also quizzed about their equation.
As the show is heading for its finale on the 12^th of January, it is only getting more interesting.

Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu leave for Hajj

It was not too long when actor Aamir Khan took his mother to Hajj and now thespian actor Dilip Kumar left for Hajj with his wife Saira Banu. The couple was accompanied by the doctor, family, relatives and close friends.
Dilip Kumar aka Muhammad Yousuf Khan thanked Allah for giving him the strength to go to Mecca at the age of 90.
"Allah has been kind that he's given me the strength to go on Umrah (pilgrimage) with Saira, Asif, Faisal... My doctor friends, few relatives are also accompanying me to Umrah. Keep me in your prayers," the thespian tweeted Wednesday.

Unbelievable! Karan, SRK break-up friendship

It is unbelievable but it is true that Bollywood most closest and exemplary buddies filmmaker Karan Johar and superstar Shahrukh Khan are no longer friends. They have broken their friendship and the reason best known to them. Karan being in Dubai turned down Shahrukh’s invitation and did not turn up for his New Year eve celebration which the actor arranged at his home in Dubai. Despite being in the city with designer Manish Malhotra, he missed SRK’s bash,
A source close to the filmmaker spilled the beans: "Karan did receive an invite from SRK, and for the longest time he was actually in two minds whether he should miss it or be there. For years they have ushered in the New Year together in Dubai. You can say, the tradition was broken for the first time."
When the tiff between the two occupied the gossip column recently, Karan refuted saying, "SRK, Gauri and I are one unit."
 A source close to SRK added that Karan missed the party because he may behe just wanted to celebrate in his own way.
Shahrukh and Karan’s friendship goes back to the dates when SRK starred in ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ and Karan played his friend there. Since then Karan has directed him in many hit films.
Well, the actual reason of their tiff is not yet know but Karan closeness to Salman is cited one reason.

Aishwarya gears up for comeback, resumes yoga session

Aardhya Bachchan is one now and the former beauty queen and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gearing up for her second innings in Bollywood. The mother who was highly criticized for her post pregnancy flab is now taking out time for yoga sessions. Aishwarya is getting back into shape to resume acting. She once said in an interview that she is reading scripts and hopefully she might is back soon.
An industry insider says, "She has resumed her regular yoga sessions. She was never known to be a person who would work out in a gym. She prefers yoga. She is also doing a bit of functional training at home."
Mani Ratnan's adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier's classic novel, Rebecca; and Karan Johar's remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 1982 film Bemisal, are offered to Ash but she has not yet signed the dotted lines.
"If you notice from her recent appearances, she has already started losing weight," the source says, adding that an announcement about her comeback film is likely to be made by mid-2013. "She's in talks with filmmakers and in all probability, her next film will be announced post April," the source adds.
For Aishwarya, her daughter Aaradhya is her topmost priority. After Aaradhya was born, she became a full time mother and enjoyed playing a doting mother to her one year old daughter.
