Breathe easy SRK, Akki: It`s Sunny Deol vs Sunny Leone now

Actor avoids clash with 'Chennai Express' and 'One Upon a Time in Mumbaai' sequel

While the industry is looking forward to the clash of titans at the box office this Eid - with SRK's Chennai Express and Ekta Kapoor's sequel of Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai - another film slotted for a release on the same day has quietly been shifted to a later date.

Sources say that Sunny Deol's film Singh Saheb The Great was also scheduled for an early August release. However, the actor in a move that clearly shows he doesn't want to indulge in ego clashes, decided to postpone the release to October 11.

Our source says, `It made no sense for director Anil Sharma and Sunny to hit the theatres on Eid when already two big films are fighting for theatres. While Ronnie Screwvala has already booked many screens, Ekta is also hell bent on getting her film a fair share at the box office.`

Insiders say that the muscle power of an impressive cast of Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone along with director Rohit Shetty and Milan Luthria directing Akshay Kumar-Imran Khan-Sonakshi Sinha could have been another reason why Anil and Sunny altered their initial plans.

The source adds, `It was getting difficult for Singh Saheb to get any theatres and it was a sensible decision by Sunny to not let ego hamper the film.`

Sharma confirms and states, `We do not wish to be involved when two films are already fighting at the box office. Our sole aim is to have the best possible release for our own project, on October 11.`

It's Sunny vs Sunny!

With the re-scheduling of dates, Sunny will now clash with another Sunny at the marquee. Deol's film will release alongside Sunny Leone's Ragini MMS 2 on October 11.
