Cannes Film Festival: Vidya Balan uses Aishwarya Rai’s trick to look gorgeous?

Actor Vidya Balan, who had gained 12 kilos for her role of Silk in The Dirty Picture, has been working extra hard to shed extra weight for her next film Shaadi Ke Side Effects with Farhan Akhtar.

But she hasn’t shed enough kilos to wear chic desi outfits, it seems. 

The star, who is the jury member at the Cannes film festival which opens today, sported an ethnic look in a maroon Sabyasachi lehenga. 

Since the actor was fully covered in the traditional ensemble she chose, it made us wonder if that was a desperate attempt to mask problem areas. 

Did Vidya Balan, much like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, dress smartly only to camouflage what she was trying to conceal?  

Vidya is popular for being happy despite being plump. Also she takes pride in her fuller body.
