The sequel of Amitabh Bachchan's 2008 film will also star Boman Irani as the baddie
Close on the heels of releasing his last production Aashiqui 2, Bhushan Kumar is all set to co-produce the sequel of the 2008 Bhootnath, along with Ravi Chopra's son Abhay Chopra. And Big B, who starred in the previous film, will also be part of the sequel.
Incidentally, while only Amitabh Bachchan has been retained from the original cast for the sequel, Boman Irani will be an addition to the list, as the actor apparently is slated to play a negative role in the film. According to sources, Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, who starred in the first film, will not be appearing in the sequel, to be helmed by Nitish Tiwari.
Says Chopra, `The film will go on the floors in November and Amit uncle is part of the project. The film is very close to our hearts and we are excited. We are still in the process of casting a child artiste.`
Having worked with the Chopra banner before, Bhushan is glad to have come on board for the project. He states, `Unfortunately, over the last two-three years, Ravi Chopra has been unwell and the production house went through a bad phase.
They were keen to revive the banner with the sequel. Amitji playing Bhootnath will be an exciting watch.`
