Cancer-free Manisha Koirala returns to India

Here is a good news for Manisha Koirala’s fans.  The ‘Dil Se’ actress Manisha returned to India looking as gorgeous as ever. She has fought against cancer bravely and overcome the disease and now she is back to Mumbai. From airport, she straight way headed towards her Versova residence.
Last year in November, Manisha was diagnosed with cancer and she was admitted to Mumbai's Jaslok Hospital, after some initial treatment she moved to the US for further treatment.
Manish looked cheerful as she stepped out of the airport. She was not alone, her close associate and veteran actress Deepti Naval was by her side.
"We were in the same flight," Deepti told soon after they had landed. "Manisha is looking great and healthy. I had gone to the US for my nephew's wedding. We coordinated with each other so that we could return on the same flight. She'll have to go to the US for a few checkups though, but you can't imagine my happiness today. Manisha is now ready to resume her normal life in Mumbai," said the veteran actress. Deepti was in constant touch with the actress throughout her treatment in US and when Manish underwent surgery in New York hospital, Deepti Naval was by her side.
A few days ago, Manisha had posted on her social networking page, 'Got to know (about) lovely rains in Mumbai. Can't wait to be on my terrace!'

"I have special memories of that terrace," Jackie Shroff, Manisha's other friend told last evening. "My Manu (as he fondly calls her) used to sit there, enjoy good food and chat for long hours. I am looking forward to going over to her place very soon and revisit those moments. Manisha was determined to beat cancer- and she has. I used to chat with her on the phone when she was being treated in America. Trust me, she never for a moment sounded despondent or depressed.

Manisha's other friend in the film industry, Gulshan Grover said, "I will go over to Manisha's place on Thursday. In the past she has had low phases, but bounced back every time. This time was no exception. We believe that the next extraordinary performance in Bollywood will come from Manisha. She is raring to go. I think she should be given the same nickname as Rahul Dravid: The Wall. She is so very tough."

According to Grover, the actress had recently started going for long walks in Manhattan. "As and when things don't go right for her, she has this knack of taking to some activity, mostly painting or reading, and she pursues it so diligently that she stops worrying. This mental strength is her biggest asset. I am so glad that she is my friend," he said.  Manish made her first public appearance after the beating cancer at an event organized by a Nepalese TV channel, where she looked splendid in a summer hat.
"Manisha has landed in India and she is absolutely fine now. She is looking as gorgeous as she was before," Subroto Ghosh, Manisha's manager, told.
