Danny Denzongpa's son comes in support of Sooraj Pancholi and talks about his childhood friend
While both Jiah Khan and her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi's family have not seen eye-to-eye ever since the young actress ended her life, the debutant actor has found support in one of his oldest and closest friend, Rinzing Denzongpa.
Veteran actor Danny's son and Sooraj have apparently been friends since childhood and they also went to school together.
Rooting for his friend, Rinzing says he can't remember the last when Sooraj was heard shouting at anyone.
He says, `After my return from London four months ago, Sooraj told me about his girlfriend Jiah. Sooraj and I even spent our nights driving around Juhu. I met Jiah with him a few times and she appeared to be quiet, reserved and an introvert.`
The aspiring actor also refutes claims that Sooraj used to hit Jiah in a drunken fit. He says in defence, `He is a health freak. He loves to keep people around him happy. Jiah was known to be very possessive about him. Sooraj was about to start his career and Jiah wanted him to be around her all the time. And that's why they used to fight.`
'I stand by him'
Anushka Ranjan (Shashi and Anu Ranjan's daughter) and Sooraj went to the same school and were close friends. She too paints a very different picture of him. She says, `He is one of the best people to be around. I have known the people with who he has been involved with earlier. No one had ever complained about him.`
