It was at Akshay Kumar's house that the two Sajids patched up after a controversial fall-out a few months ago
When news about Sajid Nadiadwala roping in Jacqueline Fernandez for his next film started doing the rounds, it set some tongues wagging in Bollywood.
After all, Sajid was said to be not on very good terms with Jacky's alleged beau Sajid Khan. Some said that after the actress apparently split with Khan, Nadiadwala wasted no time in signing her.
However, Nadiadwala and Khan have apparently patched up a couple of months ago and sources say the two are very much friends again.
After the two worked in films like Heyy Babyy, Housefull and Housefull 2, the director and producer shocked the industry by going separate ways a year ago. After Khan's Himmatwala sank without a trace at the box office, Nadiadwala immediately announced the director would no longer be helming the third installment of the Housefull franchise.
Khan's sister Farah took to her microblogging site to allegedly slam the producer for his 'unsuitable' comments. Buzz was that she was extremely upset that her Rakhi brother had apparently chosen this moment to hit out at people when they were down.
An insider says, `The patch-up took place when both of them bumped into each other at Akshay Kumar's house. The ice was broken and they started speaking to each other once again.`
Sources add that a couple of days post that, Khan visited Nadiadwala at his Versova office. Also apparently the producer and soon-to-turn-director had actually consulted Khan before signing Jacky for his film.
An aide close to both says, `The two Sajids are regularly in touch with each other. No one quite knows what went wrong between the two but because of that Saif Ali Khan's Judwaa 2 too got stuck.`
Though Khan's name had been struck off as the director of Housefull 3, those close to Nadiadwala say that he will be part of the scripting team behind the project. The source adds, `Khan is busy with two other films but will be part of Housefull 3 as a writer. After all, it is his baby.`
Nadiadwala says, `Yes, Sajid and I are in touch with each other. After all, we have been buddies for over 16 years now.`
However he refused to comment on the buzz about their problems and their alleged patch-up.
