Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani has got off to a flying star. The film has already raked in Rs. 62.11 crore in the opening weekend, beating the record of Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 and Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan grossed Rs. 49.22 crore in the opening weekend, while Dabangg 2 rakes in Rs. 50 crore. Now, after beating Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, it seems like Ranbir Kapoor is the new king of box-office.
Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani earned Rs. 19.45 crore (Fri), Rs. 20.16 crore (Sat) and Rs. 22.16 crore (Sun). Hindi movie critic and analyst, Taran Adarsh, said, “#YehJawaaniHaiDeewani collected Rs. 62.11 cr nett in opening weekend. Breakup:- Fri 19.45 cr, Sat 20.16 cr, Sun 22.5 cr. Outstanding!”
