'Krrish 3' to release worldwide on 4th November

Rakesh Roshan produced and directed movie ‘Krrish 3’ is scheduled to be released on 4^th November 2013, which is a Monday. Earlier it was decided to release the movie on 3^rd November which is a Sunday. Diwali as well falls on the same day.
Rakesh Roshan confirmed the date and said, ‘Krrish 3’ will finally release on 4 November, that is Monday.”
A source close to Roshan said, “Diwali day, that is November 3 had been locked in for release. But then distributors and exhibitors felt people like to stay home on Diwali night for Laxmi Puja. It was felt November 4, that is the day after Diwali, which is a Monday, would be far more favourable as a release date for ‘Krrish 3’.”
Industry people have welcomed the decision. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said, “It does not matter which day the film hits the theatres. Krrish is a big brand. The Rakesh - Hritik combination has never failed (Kaho Na Pyaar Hai,Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish). Some distributors have seen the rough cut of the promos and they are impressed.”
Film exhibitors are also happy with the decision of movie release date. Owner of Chandan Cinema (Juhu, Mumbai) said, “Releasing ‘Krrish 3’ on Hindu New Year's Day would be starting the year on a perfect note.”
Anand Vishal, Head of Operations at Fun Cinemas, said, “It is a smart move by the Roshans. The collections on the New Year's Day are usually double than that on the day of the Laxmi puja.”
The trend to release the movie on an important date or occasion other than Friday has been fast catching up with Salman Khan starrer movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ released on 15^th August 2012 which was Independence Day and Shahrukh Khan starrer movie ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ was released on 13^th November 2012, which was on Tuesday and the occasion of Diwali.
The first trailer of the movie will be released on 8^th August. On the same day, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ is getting released. Rakesh Roshan

Rakesh Rosha confirmed, “Yes our trailers will be out on August 8.” Earlier Rakesh Roshan had said, “Launching the trailer with a big film guarantees many eyeballs. I am going to talk to Shah Rukh or UTV about the same.” Krrish 3 is a science fiction movie. This movie is the third movie in the series of Krrish movies. The first was ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and second was ‘Krrish’.
