Police interrogation has revealed that it was not just
Jiah's Bollywood career but also her love life that was gnawing on the
actress' happiness. Sources reveal that Jiah Khan and boyfriend Suraj
Pancholi have had innumerable arguments over a third woman in Suraj's
life.
The last call received by the starlet was from Suraj Pancholi, a
little before 11 pm. Police sources said they spoke for nearly 30
minutes. As per police sources, even after Jiah's last conversation with
Suraj there was an exchange of SMS allegedly between the two in which
Jiah crossed question Suraj's loyalty, whether he was dating another
actress.
There were missed calls allegedly by Suraj on Jiah's smart phone
which went unattended as by that time, the actress had already ended her
life. "The cops have taken note of the phone details and are presently
questioning Suraj," sources elaborate.
Sources also said police had seized Khan's cellphone and laptop
from her residence and were scanning her call records. No suicide note
was found.
Khan and her mother lived in a first floor apartment in Sagar Sangeet building, opposite Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow in Juhu.
"As of now it is not clear that why she took such a drastic step.
Her mother is in state of shock. The cause of death will be clear after
the post mortem report arrives. From preliminary investigations, it
appears that she was in depression since the past few months," said
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone IX) Chherring Dorje.
