"Madhuri and I were arch rivals for years," Juhi Chawla had said in
one of her recent interviews. And now, the two, who once could not see
eye to eye, are coming together in Bollywood film 'Gulaan Gang'. Not to
forget that Juhi is now not 'so friendly' with Shah Rukh Khan as well.
Which means, we believe, she's not very bubbly when it comes to 'her
old competitors', publicly referred as 'good friends'.
While the film is yet to be completed, what happens next when the
yesteryear rivals - Madhuri and Juhi - unite for a cause? Spotted
recently at the Believe campaign to celebrate the Triumphs of Women in
Mumbai, Juhi and Madhuri looked equally gracious as if making an effort
to outshine the other.
Its no secret that the two actors have had differences between them
since decades. While Juhi Chawla has been working as a supporting actor
in films like Main Krishna Hoon and Son of Sardaar, Madhuri Dixit has
made a wonderful comeback after a decade long gap.
Madhuri has both her hands full as after her item number Agra Se
Ghagra in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, she is starring opposite Naseeruddin
Shah in Dedh Ishqiya too.
Gulaab Gang is a story of a group of Indian women dressed in pink
coloured saris, fighting against the social injustice, operating in the
Bundelkhand region. Based on real life Gulabi Gang, the film is expected
to be a major success on the box office.
Juhi Chawla and Madhuri Dixit are the most famous rivals in Bollywood.
Juhi Chawla plays a negative role in Gulaab Gang.
Madhuri Dixit is making a comeback with the film Gulaab Gang.
While Madhuri Dixit debuted with Abodh in 1984, Juhi Chawla started her career with Sultanat in 1986.
Madhuri Dixit looks every inch a diva in green and black.
Madhuri Dixit has already charmed her fans with her item number Agra Se Ghagra in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Gulaab Gang producer Anubhav Sinha.
Mahi Gill and Tannishtha Chatterjee are also in the film.
