Saif-Kareena choose to miss funeral of PC’s father

In the time of distress or sadness, enemies and rivals also forget their bitterness and unite to console and pay tribute. And this is what was noticed at the funeral of Priyanka Chopra’s father. All the big names from the industry were present there. Her rivals and competitors were also there. The only exception was made by Saif and Kareena who choose to give the funeral of Priyanka’s dad a miss. But why???
It seems Kareena is still holding on to her past rivalry with Priyanka. Both Kareena and Priyanka are top notch Bollywood actresses always competing for the apex position. They also lock horns for acting with the Bollywood Baadshah, Shahrukh Khan. The bitter twist of their animosity came when Priyanka was reported to date Kareen’s ex-love Shahid. The two ladies spitted their venom against each other at Karan Johar’s ‘Kofee with Karan’. And their venom found its way even on various public appearances. Though they both tried their best to avoid their animosity, it did spill out at many occasions. Off late they have not been spotted out together and though it usually follow that the lead actors of the industry are tied for acting with the lead actresses of the industry, we do not hear Priyanka working with Saif. It was recently heard that Saif also joined his wife Kareena in the cat fight between the two leading ladies. He offered Priyanka to do an item song in his movie, which Priyanka turned down. To this, his reaction was quite rude and sarcastic. He commented that it was ok for Priyanka to turn down his offer as she, like other actresses avoid sharing screen space with Kareena. Of couse Saif thinks too high of Kareena but he should not forget that even Priyanka has given a series of Bollywood hit movies.
Priyanka Chopra’s father Dr.Ashok Chopra died on Monday morning after battling for a long time against cancer. Last week he was admitted in a Mumbai hospital. He was 62 years old. He was a surgeon. He served in Indian Army as a doctor. He is survived by wife Dr.Madhu Chopra, daughter Priyanka and a son.  A lot of Bollywood figures came to meet Priyanka either at the hospital or at the funeral. Shahid, came to see Priyanka’s dad at the hospital.  At the funeral, Shahrukh Khan was seen with wife Gauri. Deepika Padukone came and consoled the actress. Karan Johar, Uday Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Manish Malhotra, Madhur Bhandarkar  and Ranbir Kapoor are the few prominent faces present at the funeral
