Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan to play brothers in Deewaar's remake?

As we celebrate 100 years of cinema, we at Dailybhaskar.com, feel there are several evergreen films that deserve to be remade. In this series, we will give you a list of movies that we think should be remade and also the new stars who will play the iconic characters in the films.

Shashi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Deewaar is a cult Bollywood film. The film is also considered historical in Indian cinema because it established Amitabh as angry young man of Bollywood.

We all know that Shah Rukh Khan is first one to raise his hand, whenever a director plans to remake any Amitabh Bachchan’s blockbuster. In fact, SRK had expressed his desires to work in Deewaar's remake. So, we can’t think of anyone else to play the role of Amitabh Bachchan in Deewaar 2013. You take it, SRK!

Moving on, it is a dream of both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s fans to see them together in a film. We have been trying very hard in our series to fit them both in one frame. We feel, even in Deewaar, Salman Khan can perfectly play the role of Shashi Kapoor (SRK’s brother). Also, he will again get a chance to try his ‘Mental’ and ‘Kick’ skills on SRK.

And we could think of only one lady who not only has motherly Image in the country, but also has experience of playing superstar’s mother on-screen. There is a famous dialogue in original Deewar, “Jab ek bhaai bolega to ek bhaai sunega, jab ek mujrim bolega to ek police officer sunega.” In the new Deewaar, Salman Khan will change the famous dialogue a bit, “Ek baar jo Pandey ji ne sun liya toh wo hi decide karenge ki tum mujrim ho ya bhaai. Ab jaldi Bolo.”

There will be slight a change in the famous ‘mere pass maa hai’ dialogue too. When SRK (Vijay) will ask Salman , Aaj main kahan pahuch gaya hoon aur tum kahan ho. Aaj mere paas buildingey hai, gaadi hai, bank balance hai. Tumhare paas kya hai. Kyaa hai tumhare paas?”

Robin Hood aka Salman Khan will reply, “Mere pass bhi gadi, bangle, bank balance toh hai. Plus Maa hai.” And we know how Pandey ji laughs after such jokes.
