Shilpa Shetty upset, mother consoles her




In her hour of need, actress Shilpa Shetty has turned to her mother for advice and has found much needed comfort there. Her husband, 37 years old British Business tycoon Raj Kundra
Raj Kundra on the other hand is looking to the gods to help him through these difficult times.
Raj and Shilpa are co-owners of the IPL cricket team Rajasthan Royals. As the scandal of spot fixing has rocked the country, Kundra’s name has become heavily involved in this. Siddharth Trivedi of the Royals who has turned witness for prosecution claimed that he was approached by someone close to Kundra for crucial information about the team. Ravi Sawani, BCCI's Anti Corruption and Security Unit chief had submitted a sealed report which was forwarded to a disciplinary panel. The Working Committee decided to suspend Kundra on the basis of this report. One senior official said, "The Working Committee today decided to suspend Raj Kundra on allegations of gambling on IPL VI matches till the pendency of inquiry. Kundra will be debarred from taking part in any cricketing activity related to Rajasthan Royals which effectively means that he won't be seen during Rajasthan Royals matches in the upcoming Champions League Twenty20 in September."  The result is that, Rajasthan Royals where Kundra holds 11.7% share is busy in distancing itself from him.
The scandal has taken its toll on actor Shilpa Shetty who married Kundra in 2009 and has a son by him named Viaan. She has turned to her mother for advice and support and was told to be strong. Shilpa tweeted, "I was low and mom (Sunanda) said this to me, 'People will hate you, rate you, shake you, and break you. How strong you stand is what makes you'."
Her mother’s words have brought her a lot of comfort. "Those words gave me strength immediately. Parent's unconditional love and prayers put a smile on my face. Should never take that for granted," she tweeted.
On the other hand, husband Raj Kundra has sought divine help. "A very holy day for me as spent the day doing an 8 hour long puja at home. It`s all about having faith. #peace #love #prayers," he tweeted.
Kundra has been questioned by the special cell of Delhi police regarding the betting scandal. Delhi police claimed that Kundra has already confessed to betting during the IPL matches. The police have arrested 28 other people in connection with IPL spot fixing.
