Sonam-Dhanush's ‘Raanjhanaa’ mints 11.87 c in two days

Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Raanjhanaa’ earns 11.87 crores in the first two days. Released on last Friday, ‘Raanjhanaa’ received mixed response.  The love drama made Rs 5.12 crore on Friday and Rs 6.75 on Saturday. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Raanjhanaa *actuals* Fri Rs.5.12 cr, Sat Rs.6.75 cr. Total: Rs.11.87 cr. Superb jump!".

Overseas, the film garnered  Rs.49,459 [Rs.45.22 lacs] in UK, A$ 23,235 [Rs.12.69 lacs] in Australia and in UAE & GCC the film earned  AED 142,000(Thursday), AED 232,000 (Friday), AED 150,000 (Saturday) respectively.

Made on a budget Rs.35 crore, ‘Raanjhanaa’ marks the debut of South actor Dhanush. The odd Jodi of Sonam and Dhanush received applause from the audience as well as the critics. Apart from Dhanush and Sonam, the film also stars Abhay Deol in a pivotal role.
However, Sonam is thrilled as she received compliment from her biggest critic i.e her father Anil Kapoor.
Sonam had confessed that, "The biggest compliment for me was when my dad saw the film...and usually he is my biggest critic....He told me, 'There is not one false moment from you'," Sonam said. Sonam said that she has taken inspiration from Jaya Bachchan's 'Guddi' to portay the role of school going girl in 'Raanjhana'
The collection of 'Raanjhanaa' is expected to rise up this Sunday and coming days.
