Zoya Akhtar of ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ fame has finally roped in cousin brother and sister Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor for her next project. For a while, reports have been doing the rounds of Zoya's casting coup and finally things has been finalized. The film will basically narrate a story centered on brother and sister relationship.
The casting coup doesn’t end here. There has been two interesting actors roped opposite Ranbir and Kareena. Hrithik Roshan will be playing Kareena’s love interest and Katrina Kaif will be playing Ranbir's ladylove. Kareena and Hrithik shared screen space in 'Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon' and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham' and Ranbir and Katrina’s sparkling chemistry was seen in movies like ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahini’ and ‘Raajneeti’.
A source informs, "Kareena and Hrithik have not shared screen space since 2003, when they did Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon. Zoya wanted to revisit their onscreen chemistry. And since Hrithik has already worked with Zoya, he welcomed the offer."
Apparently, Katrina who reported to be dating Ranbir too had expressed her desire to work with Ranbir. "Their chemistry - be it in Ajab Prem or Rajneeti has been much appreciated. And Zoya was keen on getting them on board," said the source.
"Both Kareena and Ranbir are excited about the idea of sharing screen space. They will obviously play brother and sister in the film, and not share the traditional hero-heroine equation," a source said.
The project is expected to go on floor next year.
