Salman Khan, the most eligible bachelor in the country turns 47 today. Born to scriptwriter Salim Khan and Salma Khan, Salman is one of the ruling actors of Bollywood. He kept the box-office bell ringing with his style and charisma. He set a new trend in Bollywood of 100 crore club. Salman has a huge fan following and his films are the most awaited one.
Salman debuted with a supporting role in the 1988 film ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’. His first film debut as an actor is Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Maina Pyar Kya’ which became the highest grosser. Since then there was no turning back for the hunk. ‘Baaghi’, ‘Sanam Bewafa’, ‘Kurbaan’, ‘Saajan’. In 1994, he received a grand success with Sooraj Barjatia’s ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ and he won many awards for this film.
His list of hits doesn't end here. ‘Khamoshi’, Judwaa’, ‘Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kiya’, Hum Saat Saat Hain’, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ are the hits under his credits. His performance in ‘Tere Naam’ was highly acclaimed. In 2009, ‘Wanted’ became a blockbuster. In 2010, ‘Dabangg’ set a new record. The film opened with a great reviews and went on to gross
215 crore worldwide. In 2011, ‘Ready’ became
a big hit. In 2012, Kabir Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ became the highest grosser and in
the same year ‘Dabangg 2’ added another hit to his name.
Like his professional life, Salman’s personal life is also very interesting. In his early days, he dated Sangeeta Bijlani then he dated Pakistani model and actress Somy Ali. He was seriously linked up with Aishwarya Rai but they broke-up publicly. He dated diva Katrina Kaif for few years but in 2010, they amicably called it off.
