Shahrukh sets his eyes on Salman's Eid dates

Eid happened to be the favorite day of Salman Khan to release his films. Most of his films have released on Eid and went on to become huge hits. He is the numero uno of the Bollywood film industry riding high on his string of success. In the past three years his three films ‘Wanted’, ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ released on Eid and went on to become huge grosser at the box office. No wonder then that the actor will want his next big project to release on Eid only. Beside Salman is already way too busy with his other professional commitments and CCL. Therefore, he won’t be able to complete his upcoming film for an earlier release prior to Eid.
But this year around the King Khan is all geared up to release his film on Eid as well. Though traditionally Shah Rukh Khan has always released his films during the Diwali holidays, this year it is going to change. Maybe his arch rival Salman’s spectacular success has inspired him to release his film on Eid as well.
King Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’ will release on Eid. The flick is directed by Rohit Shetty. This romantic comedy has paired up Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone once again after ‘Om Shanti Om’. The story of the movie follows the journey of a man who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and the strange things that he encounters on his way. This romantic comedy is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment of Gauri Khan. Naturally besides reputation, SRK’s money is also on stake. Naturally Shah Rukh wants the best date for his movie release.
This is not all. This Eid will not only witness a fight between films of Salman and SRK released on same date but joining the foray will be our Sunny Deol’s new film as well. Sunny Deol will release his film ‘Singh Sahab’ on Eid that is supposed to fall on 8th August this year. Speaking about the Eid release Sunny said "The film is based on a common man's life and Eid is one of those holidays when the aam aadmi is in a much happier space. Since the significance of this festival is also interpreted as a good time to bring people together in harmony and gratitude, we are aiming for an Eid release."
Gear up this year to watch a competition triangle at the box office.
