What about ‘I, Me Aur Main’

Does the name ‘I, Me Aur Main’ ring a bell in your mind? Well it obviously does. Remember the year 2000 Hollywood flick ‘Me, Myself & Irene’, starring Jim Carrey. We hear that the similarity between the two movies ends there and the stories are as different as chalk from cheese.
The film is directed by Kapil Sharma, a new entrant to the field of directing and this is his very first work. According to the sources he has done a good job with the movie. John Abraham is the hero of the movie and Chirangada Singh, Prachi Desai is the two beautiful leading ladies in the film.
The protagonist in the film, Ishaan (played by John) is a handsome music producer from Bollywood who lives with his girlfriend Anushka's (played by Chitrangda Singh) house. He is ardently loved and zealously protected by his mother and elder sister. He treats all his relations as granted and then suddenly one day his world changes. A t this juncture Gauri (played by Prachi Desai) walks into his life and teaches him the values of relations. As Ishaan starts mending all his relations he is torn between the love for Gauri and Anushka.
The film is releasing all across India on 1^st March 2013. Therefore the film promotion activities are at a peak. In one such film promotion event, John Abraham emphasized that the film is dedicated to women and stated, "The film is releasing on March 1st and March 8th is Women's Day, so this film is dedicated to all the women. It's a tribute to women."
Prachi speaking about her girl next door role in the movie said, "The character is the closest to my heart. There's a lot of me in it. It was coming out very naturally."
Chitrangada was elaborate while speaking about the character (Anushka Lal) she played in the movie and commented that, “I think I can relate to Anushka a lot. And I believe all girls can relate to my character because she’s somebody who’s in a live-in relationship with a man-child. He’s selfish, he’s somebody who’s totally self-centred, he’s a typical male. Men somehow – any man – has this default setting of being very selfish and they just go back to that very quickly. I feel all modern women will be able to understand what Anushka is going through because we are all independent and so on, but our default setting is that we go back to being vulnerable. We have security issues – we somehow feel this need to be emotionally secure. That’s the space Anushka is in, and she doesn’t know what to do with it all. She’s somebody who’s in love with Ishaan (the character played by John Abraham in the film) but he doesn’t understand what she wants from him.”
