Shahrukh Khan to undergo shoulder surgery

He performs superhuman feats on the silver screen and has won millions of heart with his antics. But, SRK is just mortal like us. The proof lies in the myriad injuries he has suffered in his filmy career spanning 25 years. The latest one to add to his owes is the shoulder injury that he is reported as having sustained during the shooting of Rohit Shetty
Rohit Shetty film Chennai Express.
At the TOIFA awards a few days ago, Shah Rukh told the press about the injury saying “The old one is fine but for this one I may have to go for a surgery later.” He had been in the middle of an extremely busy shooting schedule for the film. At the same time, it is the IPL season in India and King Khan felt the need to offer his full support to his team Kolkata Knightriders. In addition, there were other work commitments also. “In the past one month, he had shot for five ads there, including a tea and automobile brand. The people behind the brands had to fly down to Wai to get their work done,” a source informed the tabloids. After all these, SRK will probably fly to London to get his shoulder operated on.
The total commitment to work on the part of the actor is well known in the industry. He has suffered several injuries in the past also. In 2006, he sustained an injury to the neck during a guest appearance in a film by Boney Kapoor; in the early 90s, he left rib and then later he broke his left ankle as he insisted on doing a stunt. In 1993, he broke his right toe badly while shooting for My Name is Khan and later his left shoulder. In the meantime, his left knee had sustained repeated injuries. The latest injury is to his right shoulder and he will probably need surgery for it.
Post surgery, Shah Rukh plans to devote his time for the promotion of his Chennai Express. In this film, he portrays a young man who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and the adventures on his journey. Deepika Padukone will be seen playing opposite SRK. The film releases around Eid and is the only SRK release this year. Shah Rukh is scheduled to appear in a number of promotional events for it. Akshaye Kumar’s Once upon a time in Mumbai again is also scheduled for release at this time. Chennai Express - On The Sets
