After father’s death, Priyanka Chopra back to film shoot




It is not even a week that Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra lost her father Dr. Ashok Chopra to cancer and the daddy’s l’il girl is back to her normal work schedule. It was reported that when her father was seriously sick and he was admitted to Dhirubhai Kokilben hospital in Mumbai, Piggy Chops was working on her physique to play Olympic bronze medal winner Mary Kom and she had been shuffling between her shoot and hospital but did not show any sign of anxiousness about her father’s ill health on the set and continued work normally. Now instead of taking her own time to return to work, Priyanka insists to resume work and today she has given the mahurat shot.
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali asked the ‘Barfi’ actress to take her own time to return to work but she told him that her father wants her to work and so she will resume work as early as possible. On receiving her assurance, Sanjay has schedule today’s day for the mahurat shot.
A source says, “When Priyanka’s father was unwell, Bhansali told her that the shooting of the Mary Kom biopic can wait. Then, three days ago, they spoke and Priyanka expressed her desire to resume work. Bhansali once again told her that there was no hurry. But she said her dad would have wanted her to work, so she would like to do so and is ready to start shooting for the film. That’s when Bhansali agreed and locked June 17 as the day for the mahurat shot.”

Bhansali’s spokesperson confirms the news, saying, “The shoot will start on Monday (today). Priyanka is resuming work now, even though Mr Bhansali asked her to take her time.”
The 30-year-old actress has posted a picture from the film's sets on Istagram. Directed by Omung Kumar, Priyanka will be seen in de-glam look yet again after ‘Barfi’!.
The movie is about the journey of five-time world champion Mary Kom from Manipur Earlier this year; Mary Kom was honored with Padma Bhushan, country's third highest civilian honour.
Priyanka Chopra is building muscles to portray the role of Mary.
